Panini Redemptions

Just got my redemption ticket closed and card shipped.

Redemption was for a Luka Recon Auto - was replaced with a 21 Contenders Premium On Card auto.

Totally fair and maybe even better than the recon. Just strange that I was asked to be on the Whitebox list and incessantly bugged them only to have it replaced with another Luka

It's criminal - these are rookie auto's of a borderline All Star player and I'm getting college journeymen as replacements.

Was this via a phone call? Or did they email back and forth with you? If email, who was it corresponding with you? Thanks

do they still put out the monthly redemption excel sheets? If so, where? I know they aren't on the blog anymore but someone mentioned them recently, so maybe they do still exist?

I call them every 2 weeks (sometimes needing to call 4-5 times in a row to get someone)
I emailed them every 3-4 days - the usual suspects above - no correspondence, just closed my ticket and shipped it the other day.

Nah they stopped that a while back, they started creeping them out to every 2 months and then vanished

It's weird how they decide what they send people. I have been sending emails once a week for a couple months trying to get a replacement. I was waiting on a Curry revolution auto, Herro optic contenders auto, and an Allisson national treasures chronicles auto. I saw a while back that the Curry Opulence auto cards and treasures were hitting ebay, so I was asking for a Curry on card (preferably Opulence) or a Luka on card. I really wanted a Curry since I don't have one for my pc. I just got the notification that they sent me a White Box Sealed as replacement. I'm still happy with the replacement but wanted curry. I hope there's a card worth what all my cards add up to in the box. Do they send boxes of with better cards for higher end stuff or can I still get stuck with a random Damian Lillard auto worth a couple hundred?

It's been a minute since posting on these boards but I had to come back and leave my experience in this thread about a redemption I've been waiting on since 2019. It was a signature series Charles Barkley from Optic.

Good thing for you the White Box is the biggest scam they run. They just find an extra card that they have laying around that was supposed to be for replacements, stick a 1/1 Sticker on it and box it up. So they know what they are sending you beforehand. It could very likely be an extra unnumbered Curry that they wanted to send you, and that's the way that this is accomplished. But screwing customers is nothing new, so yes you can get a Damian Lillard.

I just had two replacements + 1 current redemption replaced. I had these two pass the 120 days mark and selected replacement: 2021 Playoff Contenders (21-22) Veteran Playoff Ticket Shaq #/49

2021 Panini Revolution (21-22) Rookie Autographs James Bouknight

And also had this one still within the initial 120 days:

2021 Panini Recon (21-22) Rookie Recon Signatures Red Kai Jones #/75

I contacted them multiple times over last few weeks to the usual string of emails that circulate reddit/card forums and got no replies, i then emailed the guy who does blog posts and within 24hrs the sent me a Kevin Garnett on card jersey auto #/49 and an origins Charles Barkley on card auto #/49 so pretty happy with my replacements.

Did you say that you'd be willing to accept a different Curry auto? If not, give that a try and be persistent.

Thought I was being persistent when I would call 5 to 10 times a day to try to get someone. Thx for the tip, probably just up my email to them more. I don't know will see.

Surprised to hear someone speaking so highly of Panini CS. Waiting three years and having to badger them for help is not a great example of "taking care of you". That's objectively not even the bare minimum.

To be fair, their redemption process is different from customer support. Every single time I've had to deal with CS they have always made things right. This includes a damaged holo rated rookie Luka Doncic as well as a Downtown Zion Willamson both factory damaged and both replaced within a month.

Like I said in the video, I know Panini catches a ton of flack but the few times I've had to actually reach out to them, my experience has been top notch.

Interesting, this gives me some hope! I renewed my original request for a 2020 Obsidian Electric Etch Auto of Luka a couple months back, and even without redemption wait being finished, Panini sent an email stating my request period has elapsed and asked if I would still like to wait, request a replacement or get points (yeah right). I’m gonna roll the dice on a replacement and hopefully get a comparable Luka Auto too.

Never going to buy any Panini wax again! Just from a common sense point of view, this is all so ridiculous.

So, what Panini sent me was a 1 for 1 on the Charles Barkley autograph card, it's "on-card" ad #49/49 from the Origins Legendary 2020 Panini release, so I consider that "even-steven" card for card on my Barkley redemption.

For the Patrick Ewing autograph redemption, Ewing is an elusive signer, I received a 2021 Panini Illusions Basketball Superlatives Signatures #3/10 of Larry Bird, a sticker autograph.

Personally I value it around 1/2 of what the Ewing would go for because I've seen Larry Bird autographs all over the place, he's so prolific a signer, he autographed for Press Pass and Leaf. This was disappointing, but truth be told, I'd rather have a HOF'er and icon like Larry Bird than a rookie who may bust or a mid-level HOF'er like a Drexler, Dominique or player who was good if not great but not iconic from a valuation standpoint.

I'm quite honestly just thankful I avoided the screw-job from Panini and got nothing at all and no longer have to wait and wait and wait for redemptions.

I could have done better, but odds are, I could have done a whole lot worst.

Upper Deck one did me well substituting a Mats Sundin autograph with a Sidney Crosby black diamond RC as they actually picked up the phone, conversed with my options and talked me through my choices with a clear agenda to satisfy me with an "equal or BETTER than" trade/exchange as an apology for waiting so long. It was awesome company branding as I always repeat this story and remember how honorable Upper Deck was.

I just opened the White Box that was sent to me as a replacement for my Stephen Curry revolution auto, Tyler Herro optic contenders auto, and Allison soccer auto. I was really hoping for a Curry since I need one for my pc but I can't complain too much with getting a Luka. Do you all think it was pretty close in value to the other three cards?
