Default Geoff Wilson ready to sue SCR?

This might be the best video of SCR that I've watched -- a total take-down of Geoff Wilson's claims of defamation. There's no speculation -- just facts and research. Some BO baseball threads get mentioned at the beginning.

Eastbayak getting some play!

What’s up with that one breaker’s outfit? Is the cutoff t-shirt and sweatpants his gameday uniform?

SCI did some shady stuff during the boom, and people shouldn’t make purchases based on “advice” from influencers. Not exactly breaking news.

SCR isn’t scared of being sued. Cool.

The best stuff starts at the 7:30 mark. If you're not surprised to see the US Supreme Court using SCR's website as a resource, I don't know what to say.

If shady actors are being brought into the light and being held accountable, I’m all for it. I just can’t follow this drama like a daily soap opera.

SCI does shady crap, SCR calls them out, SCI threatens to sue, SCR says “bring it on! My lawyers will drain your account!”, so on and so forth...

Cool. But I’m not going to stress too much about it. I can’t say I’ve ever listed to SCI or any other influencer, and those who do, maaaaybe have what’s coming to them (at least as far as bad investments go). I have no interest in their daily battles.

SCR has been around for years and back up what they say with examples. Geoff Wilson is just a newb who throws his (and apparently taxpayer) money around and gives bad advice.

Would an innocent man take this much offense to the claims made by SCR?

I thought it was interesting that BYB pulled yet another MASSIVE card.

seriously. Yet another HUGE card pulled by them and......crickets.

Surprised the soccer thread isn't lighting up, but they probably don't know about the history of BYB.

Do I still invest in Will Grier?

Has Frenzy bought all of his cards up?

I’m late to the party on SCR. What’s the deal with all the references to “ya dip”?
Love their content though!

SCR is tabloid trash. The fact that people think they get a pass just because their shtick is to "expose" what they believe is corruption is what's actually wrong with the hobby. I honestly believe it's just as harmful as the actual corruption.

Competent credible news reporting on corruption is a good thing. Creating drama for your own benefit while claiming you're doing the hobby a favor is hypocrisy.

I hope you’re not implying that anyone attempting to reinforce the idea that the amount of corruption in the hobby is astounding is just as bad as the corruption itself.

A breaker with Vintage Breaks slyly swapped out a pack on camera while creating a diversion by asking a participant why they dipped:

https://youtu.be/IwoEKg2_64k

It's become a running joke in SCR videos and a symbol for cynicism and corruption in the hobby.

Watch the video -- it's quite revealing. It's not the typical speculation and rumors. They provide a lot of evidence.

I didn't say anyone. I said these clowns who manufacture drama to benefit their own viewer count and prey on the desire of the masses for that drama, regardless of truth. THAT is just as bad as corruption. Because it IS corruption. The fact that they do it under the guise of a noble cause is even worse.

Notice, I specifically said the corruption should be reported on, but by competent credible reporters.

That guy is the guy who stole fcb from the original owner. And was super crooked with bg from razor and leaf. Just one event I can remember out of a few was Bg sent the mods a list of the unannounced sp’s before it was publicly released so they can scoop them up on eBay before the public knew. Then for years bg used them as puppets even getting his own sub forum at one point.

That's not the point. There are many instances where what they report on is actually corruption. And some where it isn't. An instance where it is well done doesn't fix the fact that they're nothing but a tabloid. The National Enquirer once had a well done story...

So if a "credible reporter" presented this info, you'd be okay with it? Makes sense.

Lol, if credible reporters cared at all about the hobby this would’ve been reported on years ago, specifically the gambling mentality, trimming scandals, grading drama, any # of daily scams, etc. it’s just too hard for credible news services to care because the general public won’t care, at least not until arrests are being made and the fbi lays out how it happened in terms the general public can understand (i.e. ‘operation bullpen’). The fact that hordes of BO cronies jump on others trying to point out corruption and scams (i.e. defending obvious PSA problems, trivializing trimming issues, defending Topps for obvious false advertising, etc) points out that the good ole boy system is alive and well and you’re part of it.
