Thoughts on manufactured patches?
My friend just picked up a nice gretzkt card. Looks amazing but a lot of our friends our "shitting" on him because it's manufactured patch. I think it looks amazing and all these player worn is basiclly the same thing? If it's not GAME worn arnt they all basiclly the same? Just curious on your guys thoughts? What do you think of this specific card.

I don't mind manufactured patches if they are done well.
Examples like these are where manufactured patches can really shine, in my opinion. Letter/Team Marks and/or manufactured team logos (those seem really collectible, too) are the best examples of manufactured materials. Anything else and it becomes too much.

My biggest issue with them is the autos never look good. The player has to try and cram an auto into a narrow fabric letter with a paint pen and it just looks awful.

pride of a nation patches with the autos are pretty darn cool.
but different tastes for everyone
