Blowout is a microcosm of lebron haters.

He's one of the most popular players in the NBA.

All CCP purchases, obviously.

He certainly deserves to be top 5 with Luka #1. He's up there with Giannis, Tatum, and KD though.

I don't really get jersey sales.

First few years of a player's career or right after they change teams...I can see why they're popular. Just came on to the scene and not a lot of ppl currently have that guy's jersey.

But after 20 years LeBron is near or at the top of jersey sales? Do ppl buy the same jersey every year? I can't imagine there are that many people who didn't have a LeBron jersey last year that thought "you know what I need now that LeBron's been balling out for 20 years? His jersey."

I'd think most of the ppl that wanted one bought one right after he joined the Cavs/Heat/Lakers.

Jersey sales are jersey sales. Lebron and Curry perennially top the list because they are the top 2 most popular players on a global scale.

Contrary to popular belief, there is a world outside of BO and the political pundits.

Nick Wright showed a really interesting comparison of Lebron this year versus peak Lebron from the 1st Miami title team. Stats are better this year. Its actually pretty unbelievable what he's doing. Makes me wonder if its going to be a Brady like run into his 40's

i saw that, but nick also fairly pointed out that in miami he was also playing 1st team all nba level defense. now at 38 hes still a solid defender but he doesnt have the energy he once did. its still shocking that 12 years later hes still playing at this high of a level.

Jersey sales are like CD sales in the 90s. You gotta wonder how many are being bought up by the label of the company.

Whilst outside of BO world has very different opinions, I'd take jersey sales and All Star votes with a bucket of salt.

Most won't really appreciate LeBron until he's retired.

As others have said, it's not just that he's still in the NBA at 38, but he's playing at an All-NBA level. And he's not lumbering up and down the court like an old TD or Shaquille (or even an older Kidd or Dre Miller). He's playing with a lot of speed. He picks his spots now, but he's still got that burst when he needs it.

Harden is still effective but his game has aged. He can't just blow by anymore and he's like 5 years younger than LeBron. Shows you how taking care of your body can extend your career.

The big difference between TD and LeBron at this age, is that TD played team ball and wanted to continue winning games. LeBron is just out there getting numbers as usual. The Lakers can't seem to beat any quality team. LeBron can score all he wants, but I don't even know if anyone is that bothered in stopping him. They'll beat the Lakers anyway. Even when AD was there.

Duncan was actually incredible in his age 38 season. Defense is a thing also.

There's probably more factors that goes into buying jerseys. Even if the player does not change teams there are other variables. Like new numbers, colors and variations, throwbacks, the 75th logo, patches, sponsors, nicknames, All Star Game, etc etc.

Lol thinking there's some insider conspiracy theory on jersey sales is toplulz.

Bron's been the best selling jersey for the past 4 years straight. Curry the 3 before that. Bron's had the top selling jersey for 70% of this past decade.

Yeah. Maybe the Lakers, Cavs, and Miami all conspired to push rank by buying up all the Bronny swingmans to skew the numbers on such a little known basketball talent.

LOL.

I hope your butt is OK. Seems like a huge overreaction to nothing. Maybe I'm 100% wrong. The LeBron hate runs deep. But you're wrong once a week. So I'm Gucci.

Maybe you're just still suffering from the Zion injury.

Let me guess, we'll get another gif. Can't wait.

It all depends on if some young player in the future takes the league by storm. If some young guy wins 5-6 titles and is a MVP year in-and-out, that's where the money will flow. It will happen at some point, just when. The longer it takes, the more it helps LeBron.

And it can't just be a title or 2. It has to be close to Jordan's 6.

Hey. Maybe I'm the naive boomer too coddled by Tony Robbins energy to realize the rampant corruption transpiring in reported LeWeave jersey sales numbers.

Same psyop that may be responsible for impeding Bruh'man Simmons' offensive progression for the past half decade.

Speaking of which, when LeBron got those two free jerseys back in high school, he didn't even do any time in jail! I can see why so many justice-must-be-served enthusiasts are still salty 'bout that.

Dude. I heard his I Promise School was a guise for a highly elaborate fentanyl smuggling operation in Guadalajara. Surprised the sheeple haven't caught on yet.

We will no longer be silenced.

Just wanted to break down this quote for y'all:

“To know that I’m on the verge of breaking probably the most sought-after record in the NBA, things that people say would probably never be done, I think it’s just super humbling for myself. I think it’s super cool.” - LeBRON JAMES On passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

1. The most sought-after record in the NBA is most rings.

2. Nobody ever said the points total would not be broken. People are scoring more points now then ever. Bodies are lasting longer...

3. Humbling - cause (someone) to feel less important or proud... lol. This one takes the cake. I don't think LeKing understands what he is saying here. He just takes random quotes that people say that sound good and repeats them. Never actually saying anything.

All in one little quote. Well done LBJ. This is why you're the king.

LeBron is one of the 2 most transcendent athletes in American sports in this era (other being Brady). To not realize that his legend will just grow with time means ignoring history.

I think most people on Blowout weren't collecting when LeBron and Durant RCs were made, so they missed out on getting in on the ground floor. Blowout is invested in newer guys like Curry, Giannis and Luka. So, it is in their interest to bash LeBron and Durant and hype their guy. LeBron and Durant are leading in All Star voting. NBA fans appreciate them, even if most on Blowout don't.

You've opened pandoroa's box.

Now two things are going to happen:

1. This thread will bounce another 3 pages

OR

2. A new thread will start "Is Lebron smuggling drugs?"
