Super tough to even consider not knowing the hypothetical product cost/format, print run and checklist size IMO

Sapphire raw is in the $600-700 range. A PSA 10 did $1700 on eBay and $1200 on MySlabs last week.

For Update, I’m thinking $200-300 raw and $500-750 PSA 10 assuming quality isn’t poor.

I meant he clearly used multiple Topps accounts when he had to (e.g. MC exclusives) and bought stuff from BO at other times. I thought that was pretty clear.

Feels like a bit of a question of which image becomes more desirable.

Kind of like Acuna and "bat down" won... but Bellinger 1st HR from Update won vs. fielding pose from Chrome.

In other words, I feel like we've seen it go both ways.

I'm just one person, but I know as soon as I heard TCU would have JRod's update image I stopped pursuing the random image from the earlier Sapphire release.

And I'm noticing prices seem to be softening in those regular Sapphire auctions. Suggesting maybe others are like me, too.

I'm excited for the TCU Sapphire image consistency with his US44 card, so maybe I'll get my cake and eat it too (what I want, and cheaper!!! )

Are you guessing print run will be larger than the ~1050 for regular sapphire? Feels like they might rather go the other direction? Or at least hold at the same level.

But I clearly have no real data to back that up, other than they lowered the price vs. last year perhaps with worry they might not sell... this might also mean they constrained print run?

You can estimate double the print run for base singles.

To put things in perspective, you will pull a jrod/jrod rd in every 6 boxes you open. Every single box will have a top 5 rookie logo player.

So be careful not to overpay initially, we will see at least 4-5x the number of jrod singles in this release on eBay versus TCS.

I think many will be sent for grading just in time for the season, so it may limit the initial flood.

What do think about Bowman Chrome Sapphire coming out next week? Is 199 a good value? I believe these were 199 last year but with no autos in this set for the same 32 cards, you would think they would be $100 seeing TCU Sapphire at least gives you a (chance in hell) shot at an auto and priced at 129.

thats because 2016 & 2017 bombed in full set ($1500 SRP) form and had to be sold on Black Friday Sales lol
