Wowza - pretty deep. Not top heavy like 2022 - I'm guessing rwperu34 will like this type of class.

78 names on that list.

Series 1 last year had 49 rookies, Series 2 had an additional 56.

Seems too many to be Series 1 and not enough to be split between both...so who knows. Where did the list come from?

Still no checklist . . .

I can't see the price being worth it without a decent rookie class.

Every year people complain about the rookies, every year people still buy the poop out of flagship.

It's flagship, the rookies don't carry the product. The fact that it is the first release of 2023 is what moves the needle for most people. Its fun and has a legacy.

There will always be a few grumbling over the checklist, but guaranteed those same people are still ripping due to FOMO.

Yea I don't get it either. Flagship is a lottery ticket if you are trying to make money from it and should only be bought for collection/fun purposes.

If RC is what you're after, just buy base singles a few months after the release and save some $$$.

I suppose it could be S1 and S2, but the checklist given to me was titled Team Sets. Do they put S2 guys in the team sets?

Flagship is literally the easiest product to profit on.

Just have to buy in bulk

Yes -- the team sets that we'll see in retail stores later in the summer (I presume?) always include both S1 and S2, if that's what you mean.

Traditionally, they hold back like two of the second tier names for series 2. Casas, Baty, Moreno, and Tovar. Those types of guys.

I expect Adley, Gunnar, Carroll, and Harris to all be in series 1

I also expect a bunch of the no name guys to be held back.

You don't need a checklist. You know what it's going to look like. If you don't...you've been under a rock for the past 3 months.

That doesn't make it easy at all. Are you talking breaker bulk or case by case bulk?

IMO, the easiest products to make money on are the 2020 F1 Sapphires of the world. Didn't even have to take it out of the box that it was shipped in.

The checklist I posted earlier turned out to be the Team Sets checklist. Sorry about that.

You’re right, easier to make money on sealed wax that is underpriced.

But flagship is the most guaranteed profit ripping cases. It is time consuming, so I guess it depends on your definition of easy.

Cue the posters who break a case and don't pull an Ohtani 1/1 Autograph saying how the product is trash and all of their cards are worthless. They only pulled crappy jerseys and worthless autographs. Its coming.

But...that's every product ever. As well as every product preview ever posted.

Although this board gives some great information, it is HEAVILLY slanted towards the business/flipping aspect of the hobby and not representative of the hobby and consumers as a whole.

Lot of angry collectors here with some valid points, but if you look at most complaining, its the same 20 names over and over.

I think he means cases - I typically do 3-5 (depending on price I snag locally) and agree.

Smart by Dick's to put them up first on "pre-order". They are usually $5 more on blasters anyways so walmart and target will still be $25 I assume.

Oh yeah, it's coming....what they don't realize is that pre selling sets, listing all inserts/insert sets on release day and selling all of the worthless 'hits' right away is where it really adds up with flagship products.
