I support my team not just one guy and when they fall short say he he has an MVP though .... I should just become a Packer fan at that point. Speaking of which IF Mahomes losses again is he on his wayto becoming a slightly better Aaron Rodgers ?
Making it all about championships in football is objectively stupid. Basketball where each player represents 20% of the team and players play both offense and defense is probably the closest you could get in a major team sport. Baseball where each player is 11% and most play both offense and defense is a bit more of a stretch. A game where there are 22 different players, playing only offense or defense, plus additional specialists? GTFO here. Patrick Mahomes doesn't play against Joe Burrow or Jalen Hurts. He plays against the defense. Likewise, the competing QBs play against the Chief's defense, Mahomes isn't out there trying to lock down AJB. Sports fans are stupid, I get it, bread and circuses and all that. You have to have a good (enough) team and get incredibly lucky to win a Super Bowl. This is not a knock on Tom Brady, I think he's the GOAT, but more so for his ability to stay in the league so long performing at such a high level than his ability to win more SBs than he lost.

This is such an understatement. They really are tipping on the cusp of idiocracy levels of IQ.

Another reason why flipping cards can be easy, the sports fans are the buyers, and their behavior is predictable.

I'm rewatching clips today and on 3 of his sacks there was a clear path to scramble but he chose to hang on or moved the wrong way into the sack.

Not blaming Burrow for the sacks at all, but some QBs probably maneuver and avoid those sacks.

I guess I will just have to disagree with your assessment of QBs to only be valued by how many Super Bowl wins they have. It's like the Jordan vs Russell debate in basketball. Just because Russell has 11, most people still believe Jordan was the best ever with 6.

The QB has the biggest impact on any football team, just ask the 49ers, so I would guess that's why they typically get all of the glory or criticism when a team wins or loses. So that easily translates into Sport Card collecting because they are usually the face of the franchise you are rooting for. He hasn't played yet in the Super Bowl this year so maybe he does get his 2nd, but I say he is legendary because he has only played for 5 years and he has brought his team to the AFC Championship game every single year. He is already tied for 7th all time with Championship game appearances along with Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and ahead of 3 x Super Bowl Champion Troy Aikman. My point is getting to the Championship game alone is tough enough, but if you feel like Doug Williams or Troy Aikman have accomplished more just because they already won more than 1 Super Bowl, then again I respectfully disagree with you.

I don't get it!
So, that Bens player pushed Mahomes at the end of the 4Q and was given a penalty for being too aggressive. KC were given an automatic 1st down and then they called in their kicker who won them the game, right?
That Bens player then sat on the bench balling his eyes out as if the loss was on him ???
I don't agree with that, man! The Bens had the whole-entire game to get themselves out of that situation, but just couldn't do it! They are all to blame!

Can't believe KC pulled that out. Everyone hurt.

Back to back to back must-have plays to finish the game. Sack by Jones. Moore redeems himself on the long punt return. Mahomes has no one to throw to so he gets the game winning play F this I'll run it myself.

We're all saying the same thing here. Just an incredible playoff game to add to Mahomes' already-legendary career.

I think this offense really needs Toney back - could care less about Mecole. Going to assume Mecole wasn't 100%, but man....he really continues to be timid whenever he gets the ball in his hands.

All time performance by PM (other than the bonehead fumble). You could tell his ankle was bothering him on certain throws - visibly screaming because of the pain. The run in the 4q was classic PM putting the team on his shoulders and going for it.

Couple weeks to get some guys healthy and game plan for a damn good team.

Cant wait
All of this. MVS completely redeemed himself and this one game was worth having him the whole year because they were not winning that game without him

I have been on blowout for 13 years and have only had 1 person on my block list ever. It’s this guy, and it was the best decision I ever made. If only you jabronis would stop quoting him I would never see another post of his again

Depending on how MRI's go today, if some of these receivers either can't go or are on the fence, look for the name Odell Beckham Jr. to pop up a lot over the next week or so. Not saying it will happen, in fact, it's highly HIGHLY unlikely, but if they're going to need to fill spots, it's either practice squad or free agents.

They should probably be doing workouts right now to see who they could sign off the couch. Three WRs going down is no joke, I'd at least try to get some guys on the PS to try to develop some kind of rapport in case they're needed. It's still unbelievable they won a game with Mahomes having a HAS and all the injuries. He won't be 100% by SB either, but hopefully he gains a bit more mobility. Philly D is serious biz.

Good point. I think they'd probably look to someone like Josh Gordon who learned the playbook somewhat recently over OBJ but it sure would be a fascinating story to see OBJ join Mahomes for 1 game.

I could actually see that happening - not ideal, but at least he has some reps with PM

Justin Watson will be back in the mix for sure

Hopefully Toney just rolled his ankle. I have not see the play where Juju hurt his knee - but reports after the game is that he could barely move.

@tjforce - you going to do a breakdown of the KC v PHI matchup from week 4 last year?

I'm curious how different the teams are in terms of personnel and strategy now.

Mahomes had 5 TDs that game but 3 of them went to Hill. KC could do whatever they wanted on offense. CEH also had a big day, wonder if they get him more involved (they might have to with all the WRs out).

Early pickers are going with the Eagles.

Different year, different coach, new roster additions to both teams, but these two lined up last year when Patty was "having his troubles," and despite a blah game with INTs, Chiefs won handily.

Neither defense could stop the other team as Hurts went off for 300+.

A loss by the Chiefs would be a huge blow pending injury reports, as they match up better against Philly then any of the dominant AFC QB passing attacks.

Same coach, right?

Here's all I know of big additions subtractions to each team since this game:

Philly:
+AJ Brown

KC:
+MVS
+JJ
+Pacheco
-Hill
-Sorensen
-Hughes
+3 rookies starting on defense

Reddick and Bradberry have been huge additions to the defense. Both 2nd team all pros
