If I were you I’d be trading that Brady Champ ticket in on a Mahomes Playoff ticket.

Time to upgrade.

But last year, a near MVP season barely losing to the Super Bowl champs in the playoffs 30-27.

Yes, he's the greatest QB ever, but every athlete needs to hang it up at some point.
He was 3rd in yards, tied for 8th in TD's, 9th in completion percentage while leading his team to yet another division crown and post season appearance.

And this was "horrible"? Even by his own standards, it was a down year. But still a very good year for any QB. Especially for one that is 45.

I went to see Ozzy during his No More Tours Tour in 1992. That lasted until 1995, when he did his Retirement Sucks tour. Which lasted for another 20 years. Then came the No More Tours Tour II

But I don’t want to turn this into a mahomes thread. I’m not even trying to pump mahomes

Brady > everyone
Something that has happened only once in a 60 year existence of the league....
twice in 100 years if you include prior...
and you think you'll see it again in your life time?

Thats a bold move.

Dude has 1 SB win and we're talking about him getting more than Brady? Get outta here! Talk about it when he's at 6 or 7 rings.

Well that means Aaron Rodgers is playing next year, he won't share the spotlight w/ Brady going to Canton the same year as him.

Was trying to think of greats that hung their cleats up before it was astoundingly clear that it was time. I can only think of 2, and they're both Lions:
Barry
Calvin

Luke K. of the Panthers might be another.

Also Andrew Luck.

Not holding my breath on this "retirement" from Brady. If nothing else, the media will drag his name into every discussion when a team begins looking like they need a quarterback and has Super Bowl potential.

I still argue Barry would have only got 1500 yards his next two seasons.

30 as a back is rough

This 100%. Brady never relied on his mobility- because he never had any mobility to rely on. Brady's skillset was tailor-made for a long career.

Mahomes will need to make big adjustments to his game to play at Brady's level for 23 years. He (his team) will need to win 7 more SBs in the next 10 years or so to surpass Brady before his window starts closing fast in his late 30s.

Tiki Barber.

Tiki averaged 2000 yards rush/receiving his last 5 years of his career including 2100+ yards his final year. The most impressive aspect of that is that it has only been done 70 times in the history of the game and Tiki had 5 straight seasons where he averaged 2000+ yards from scrimmage to end his career.
