Sent a SGC 10 card in for crossover w/ min grade PSA 10. My order moved to assembly, does that mean that it's being put in a PSA slab? Sorry if this is a dumb question, first time doing a crossover

I haven't done it, but my understanding is that all orders are moved through all the stages of the process in their system just as an administrative matter, whether or not they are actually doing any "assembly" or "QA." So seeing "Assembly" doesn't actually tell you anything. But if you see it fly through Assembly, QA1 and QA2 very quickly, that would be a bad sign...

That's correct. You won't know for sure if it crosses or not until the grade pops. Unfortunately, you will be charged the grading fee regardless.

My 1/18 entered mixed football and Pokemon popped overnight. 42/52 gem. My 1/12 baseball order hit QA2 yesterday and my 1/12 Pokemon hit Assembly.

At any time. The majority of mine seem to pop in the evening but have got them at all hours of the day.

I just got a 12 card order back and the one 9 is in a weird slab. It is like thicker than normal and seems like the card is sleeved inside. This was the only slab like this in the order. Is this an old slab... or a new slab?

That’s just how they are doing thicker card stock cards now

weird... this was a standard chrome card and I had others of the exact same thing that were in the normal slab.

It arrived 1/20, so a day or two before then (I'm in CA). It moved to QA1 after being in Assembly for one day, I'm hoping that's not a bad sign

My 46 sports card order from 1/12 popped last evening. 34/46 gem. That's back to my pre-backlog gem rate for non Pokémon stuff. My 1/12 order of 82 cards moved to QA1. They're flying on these.
