Default Introducing The New NBA All Time Points Leader KING Lebron James

The king adds another jewel to his crown. Passing Kareem on the all time scoring list needing at least 36 points tonight. The most points in the regular season, playoffs, and fourth in all time assists. The greatest offensive player of all time. Ill update this thread when he retires with his final point total. Witness greatness!!!

Default Rodgers....

The only one that missed it was Aaron Rodgers. He is always in the dark!

Congrats to LeBron. Really cool to witness this kind of history.

Whatever Bron's final career tally, it will forever stand...just like Ripken's ironman record.

Just not going to happen in today's game with 1 year pro/college requirements, load management, frequency of superstar injuries, and nobody averaging anywhere close 40 minutes.

That's my take. I think someone else might surpass Kareem. Hell, I can see 40k being eclipsed.

No one is touching LeBron's record. He's probably gonna end up with 43k or so.

Nope.

Luka might average more PPG, but he doesn't play the games it takes to get there.

Don't see anyone else that could make a run.

I think the biggest obstacle will be injuries. I can't think of a single superstar in the last 20 years that's managed to dodge the injury bug.

Even guys like Curry and Durant have had their share of missed time. Lebron's not only ridiculously prolific, but insanely robust. It's basically been him and MJ in terms of career durability.

Could be wrong, but I don't see Luka aging remotely as well....be it genetics, discipline, or both. Lebron has been a physical specimen since day one. Never a single concern about his conditioning or build. That's really what separates him from his peers. He's built like an NFL tight end, but sturdy like a Chevy truck.

There will be someone, he's not even a teenager now and will come from overseas. That's my hot take on it.

Guys like Giannis, Luka or Joker never had the luxury of a proper diet and training early in their careers (Luka had it earlier but still).

As the game becomes more global, there are going to be 14-15 year old kids who actually take great care of their bodies. That's where it'll be from IMO.

Have to remember that these guys were also late bloomers and needed 3-4 years of development before starting their superstar ascent.

Here's why this will be basically impossible:

1) Lebron started when he was 18. And was putting up impressive numbers since day 1
2) Avoided major injury setbacks
3) did not experience the 'should be guaranteed because of science' age regression after hitting his mid 30's. The fact he's actually putting up better scoring numbers now than he was in his early 30's is mind boggling.
4) load management as front offices determine they don't want to risk the long term prospects of even their young centerpieces

What really separates him from his peers is that he’s allowed to juice while the rest get to witness his “greatness”

That last shot is going to bring $$$ to whoever pulls those timeless moments in the future. Probably will be one of the most sought after Lebron cards ever. Wish he could have broke the record with a skyhook.

It's making itself so apparent here tonight who is just a bitter NBA fan who totally missed out on the LeBron boat.

Just ugly.
