I hope so....

I have some I wanted to try and grade, and didn't think they did...but saw a couple of donruss americana cards on ebay that are in CSG slabs.

On a different note...If I get a premium membership for $150 and they give me $150 in credit, I really have nothing to lose in trying right??

Although I suck at evaluating my cards to grade...

Also...did CSG do away with subgrades?? I couldn't find a cost for subgrades on the site

They no longer do subgrades. Also, if you buy a premium membership and then but an elite a few days later (they will email you a discounted rate to upgrade) your first submission will reflect two $150 credits. I did a large order submission with a friend and we couldn't figure out why my debit card was charged so much lower than what we submitted until the final invoice arrived with the credits printed on them. Pleasant surprise.

The only time they put subgrades, on the back, is if the card grades a Perfect 10.

Nice little trick....thanks...i guess i need to see what I want to send in first...I'm really not good at telling how things will grade...usually getting 9s with the occasional 9.5 back in the day

Nice Sandberg. Have this one in a PSA 8.

Yeah, when it comes to 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, I actually don't have a lot of the rookies...rather, for me, the minor league cards are the rookies.....Jack Morris, Tim Raines, Sandberg, Boggs, Ripken, Maddux, Griffey, etc.

I hate to be "that guy" who quotes himself, but I was very happy to see that the pictures provided by CGS for my latest submission are back to being clear, not washed out, and don't have any pictures of fingers in them!

This one will look awesome in a CSG slab. I have 5-7 that will be going to them in standard.

They could have gotten started on this early. They are upgrading their systems and credit cards are one thing that will be affected.

I had an issue with selecting the return shipping options and couldn't get past it on my laptop, but tried on my mobile and went through just fine.

Dropped off at Culture Collision show in Atlanta 1/28
In hand 2/12 after a failed delivery attempt the 11th.
Honored their 2 week turnaround time.

It would be nice if CSG had a tool that allowed you to add cards to a new submission and have the option to save/add more later. Maybe they do and I am just missing it?

You can add to a submission in que, but not edit and that is my biggest complaint. Unless I am missing how to do that.

What are the chances that CSG throws a bulk pricing special out at some point this year?

Only "specials" they have had are joining up for memberships. Don't count on anything like SGC's or PSA's specials.

You can sign up for premium membership right now for $99 if you are new and you get a CSG shipping kit and $150 credit. That means you can submit 25 cards for $250, which is $10 a card. The discount code for $50 off of membership has been "collectthis" for a long time and it still works.

My recent membership adventure was educational. I bought the mid tier level membership and then in a few days received an email for discounted Elite membership. I had a buddy needing to also get cards graded so we combined for 25 cards plus an extra 8 cards to enjoy the $150 credit.

When they finally hit my CC it was nowhere near the # we budgeted. Once the invoice was in hand, it seemed they gave me the $150 for mid membership and then when I upgraded they gave me a $150 for the Elite membership. This also came with 10% off posted rates. We wound up only having to split a very reduced number once it was done and returned. Very pleasant surprise.

As Y2Hood said they will also give you incentive to be an elite member with another discount. Elite also has a 10% discount off of the normal price, so grading would be $10.80 a card. I have been really happy with CSG from a price point and turnaround time. Post 1981 grades have been consistent and fair. Pre 1980 is another story.

Be aware that CSG could also charge more for thicker cards (+$5) and autos (+$2). If you have a thicker auto card, that is $7 more. Sometimes they don't charge you the $5 thicker slab cost if you don't mention it.

So if I'm understanding it right, it's possible to receive all of:

- $50 off membership with promo code
- $150 credit with Premium sign up
- Another $150 credit with step-up to Elite from Premium

That's actually a pretty good deal - could almost pay for a lot of what I want to get graded.

I did the following from CSG.

Premium membership for $99 with "collectthis" and received $150 credits and submission kit.

Bought elite membership for $276 with discount they gave me and received $150 credit and 10% discount. You don't get submission kit for second membership.

My membership expires on 6/1 this year. So far, I have graded 210 cards with CSG. The elite membership cost me $126 to save $252 and I am not done using it. However, elite membership only makes sense if you plan on grading more than 100 cards or using higher level services for 50 plus cards.

You're right! Was able to put a huge order together over a few days. Didn't think it saved progress for some reason.

You can't edit (aside from quantity) but you can delete an item and then add it again with corrections.
