Default non sports

The ads at the top of the Sportlots page says that non sports cards are now available, but I can't find a way to search for them.

If you are on one of the new pages (the one with the blue bar), just type whatever it is you are looking for into the search function.

If you are on one of the old pages (the one with the orange bar), you can search the old way, either by typing in the search, or using the drop downs for all the years/sets.

Took my inventory over 100,000 today which, while small compared to most sportlots sellers, is a milestone I didn't think I would ever get to. Now on to the next 100,000 LOL

Just hope the seller doesn't cancel the one card you want, so you don't get stuck buying commons.

THat's one of the reasons I stopped buying from Sportlots.

Back in November I bought a local 60,000 card accumulation (and a few 10,000 to 15,000 card buys before that) which was mostly 1994 to 2008 off of craigslist that I talked about in this thread. Over the last few months I've been sorting it and trying to add a few thousand cards a week.

The volume has definitely helped sales, and what I'm noticing about those sales is that my number of sales per month has increased by about 30%, but the amount per sale has gone down about 30%. The added volume has induced a lot more small sales which makes sense because 95% of the cards in that bulk buy were cards that I'm adding at 18 cents.

Increased sales are a welcomed sight whether they are big or small.

Does anyone know why there isn't a Sportlots link under our profile pictures (much like there is for eBay and COMC? Would be a neat feature that would maybe drive more traffic to the site, but wasn't sure if there was some reason from years ago as to why that is not included. (Wondering if it'd have to be something Sportlots would request of Blowout).

Sounds like a great idea.

Recently I've thought more about putting store items out there but can't get past the hefty fee structure. Don't think I'll have the volume to make any money. I'd probably only do it for large lots of commons or stuff that I know I've already made money on so to speak.

I requested this back in 2020. Silence.

Is there a way to link to all my items if I'm not a store seller, only an auction seller?

Edit: figured out how (like my signature) but it assumes I have a store, and you have to click the "Auctions" tab to see them... weird.

Just an FYI- was going to post this in the Feedback Section, but I realize most Sportlots sellers aren't looking there --- User, jaswanso, bid up a good handful of auctions of mine and did not pay. Such a PITA as they have 20 days to pay (which 100% effects these, as they were lots of newer releases)

Do they get booted or restricted at a certain point?

IDK, it does say "unpaid auction wins" or whatever when you click the dot and still have another to "drop off;" the other 3 have relisted. I just blocked him as I am uncertain what they do on the back end.

Its weird - Sportlots has been great with auctions (been on there JUST auctioning for nearly 5 years [had a store prior to that]) but have seem to had some issues lately in the last year or so (RTS from Buyers not updating addresses; multiple unpaid items; harrassment via eBay to end SLs auctions early to sell to them, etc.)

Volume has been up for me since about mid January but these last 3 or 4 days have been almost zero sales. I hope that is not a trend that everyone is seeing.

Last month was huge for me. Lots of larger orders, lots of orders overall. This month has been a trickle of smaller orders. Have a feeling it’ll pick up once again once I get my 2023 Series 1 case in and posted.

Just got my 1st negative for a card not delivered. What a coincidence that it just happened to be a card priced right at my threshold for budget mailing ($5) and not an 18 cent card.

Box shipping has been awesome so far. Got about 300ish cards in my box right now (about half from Bryan, thanks!) and their quoting me $6 to ship so far which is awesome. Really glad I decided to finally try it out.

Box shipping is great, but that quote sounds surprisingly low. For comparison, I have 802 cards in my box at the moment and am being quoted $62 (albeit, they often refund me about 20% when I do ship for the shipping cost being lower than estimated). From memory, I'd usually expect to be quoted $20 or so for 300 cards. maybe fewer if it was a smaller number of larger orders.

If you are getting a firm quote to ship 300 card for $6 I'd ship now as you must be close to a tipping point where the shipping will jump.

That's odd. I've shipped way more than that and usually cap out at around $27.

I thought for sure I was going to get my first negative from a Canadian customer. Guy ordered from me twice, each time he would start messaging me at the seven day mark asking where his order was. I've filled a good handful of Canadian orders, he was the only one ever with issues.

That’s ridiculous of him. I never consider worrying until it’s been a few weeks. Incoming PWE to Canada occasionally takes a week but it’s usually 10 days to two weeks and this is over many hundred received over the last few years.

Huh.

Curious what the experience of others is on the cost of domestic shipping for +/- 1,000 cards from a Sportlots box.

I was on last night and that $6 price was actually for ~100 cards, the other 200 are still en route so I’ll update when they arrive.
