I would say less than 10, maybe even only 5 players, some of the better players are older and more injury prone, like Embid, so while they are better this season, I certainly wouldn't take them.

Zion
Wembanyama

Then it gets into guys comparable like Trae/Edwards/D.Mitchell/Jalen Green..I'm sure I'm missing a few people maybe, but as far as real young guys to build around there aren't many more.

I think really only the bolded are absolute. I think Trae/Mitchell/Edwards/Jalen/Scottie/Mobley are possible/arguable but not likely. Victor and maybe Scoot could have an argument.

Zion/Ja have arguments but I personally would take SGA over Ja, and I think he's about even with Zion, given his injury history and questionable future injury status.

Victor hasn't even played a single game in the nba yet, and there has been hyped players who never lived up to their hype, so I wouldn't take Victor over a guy like Shai, who is currently arguably top 10 in performance this season.

Daddy Chetneck was OG Wembledon before Wembledon was even a media thing, and he isn't even on Russia's radar rn.

Shai's amazing on an individual level, but there are a ton of amazing individual talents in the league at the moment. Perhaps an overabundance.
PG13 is an all-nba 2-way monster, but nobody cares now that he's a dinosaur in NBA years.

The only thing separating good from great is ultimately their floor gravity + team success.

OKC's major area of need is their interior. JRE is a poverty bandaid that gets worked nightly by any big with a semblance of talent. Chet was their anticipated answer, so hopefully he recovers fully and gets back next year. Else, they'll be facing the same issues.

Thunder playing good ball lately. SGA & Giddey starting to find their way on the court together.

SGA 5th in PPG, 2nd in 30pt games and 1st in blocks among guards.

37 points tonight w/ 80.3 TS% in a win against the 76ers.

Winning like that in Philly with both Embiid and Harden playing is big time. He is arguably a top 10 player in the league now.

Another great TB breakdown - Shai not quite there yet defensively, but has an idea - I think with another star added, or Chet being what he can potentially be - he'd have more energy on the defensive end [due to less offensive load] and have less lapses - but offensively he's already really close to the tops of the league.
