My only experience with PSA on-site grading happened at Long Beach expo last year and it was generally okay. Gave tough grades and long wait but no drama. Curious to hear what happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

PSA told everyone on Friday that their cards were be able for pick up on Saturday. Then we were told on Saturday that they were able to be picked up when they pop Sunday morning. My order popped early Sunday morning and when I went to pick up my order- they said pick it up at 4pm. I went back to them at 4pm and they said the driver was running late. It was supposed to be ON-SITE grading, but they took all the cards back to California then drove them back Sunday. The driver did not get there until 6PM and the line was wrapped around the MGM with hundreds of people. PSA honestly owes everyone grading vouchers for having everyone wait. I am lucky that I live in Vegas, but what if someone had to catch a flight and had to pick up their cards? PSA said they would ship the cards back to the customers for free, but then what’s the point of on site grading?

sorry that you had to suffer through that. i hope you had good grades though! I did see that it was $75 "on-site" grading though. Has me absolutely titillated for the national. however im sure itll be bumped there |

National is actual ONSITE grading that runs damn near around the clock. They’ve dropped the ball on onsite grading multiple times now (2019 national and 2023 MINT) but ran without many issues in 2022.

One of my orders just popped:
Order Type: Value Bulk (1980 - Present) Submission# 11258519 # of Cards: 30 Order Delivered: 2/27/2023 Arrived: 2/27/2023 Entered: 3/9/2023 Research & ID: 3/10/2023 Grading: 3/14/2023 Assembly: 3/23/2023 QA1: 3/25/2023 QA2: 3/27/2023 Grades/Shipping: 4/3/2023 Actual Shipping Date: 18/30 pulled 10's. There were some I expected to be 8/9 that are part of my PC. But a couple others I am scratching my head about. The card that pulled a 7 has me a little suspicious. From the smaller pics that you can view right now, it looks like the left front edge has chipping all the way down the card. That card was definitely not in that shape when I sent it in. Unfortunately there were no preview pics. But I do have the ebay pics of the card that I bought. I am interested to see if it is actually chipping or just the lighting in the pic. Other than that, overall pleased with this order. There is another 47 card order in Q2 that I am really interested in to see how it does. Last edited by TXRunner; 04-03-2023 at 11:01 AM. |

What, they should have had some armed guards or something?

I just received grades from the wonkiest order I've every had. I will need someone to explain this one to me since I though PSA did away with qualifiers.
Is this a 6 or a 6 MC (PSA 4). I'm incredibly confused because I sent in a bunch of off center rare minor league cards but this is the only one that got a qualifier. I should also mention this order was received by PSA on 1/26 and grades popped today. It had been in QA 2 for about 3 weeks. Super weird order. Every card with duplicates had one high grade one and way low grade. I review all card corners and edges under a USB microscope and use a high res scanner for surface. I don't know how the identical process can produce one PSA 10 and one PSA 5. I don't expect 10's but I do expect at least an 8. What am I missing? Both cards were pulled from the same box on the same day. The PSA 10 had worse measurements and both had no surface issues. I wonder what it is.

Who knows when PSA will have their $15 special again, rather than wait for who knows when I'm sending it in $19 a card. Hopefully, I can get an extra card or two to GEM up to pay the difference

https://www.psacard.com/resources/gradingstandards Can't help you. What does the back look like? front looks fine to me. That's a 6-MC, so a 6 with a qualifier. I don't think it's NM-MT with a 2-grade penalty for a qualifier. I think you're starting at a 6 and dropping from there if you're comparing to a NQ grade. |

It was such an inconsistent order. One of my cards says N4 but when you click the image it slabbed as a PSA 3. Half the other cards don't have pictures at all. I agree the card is off center but it is not MC. This is the standard cut for the product. Oh well, not a big deal. No more sending duplicates of low pop cards for me. Lesson learned.

Here is the craziest grade of all. N4 per the pop report but it's getting mailed back in a slab. I still like PSA, mostly, and this isn't going to change my usage. Just a funny pickle to be in.
