Lakers beat the Wolves, and likely have a shot at beating the Grizzlies

I said no such thing. You're the one arguing being in the play-in is better than ya know...FOR SURE MAKING THE PLAYOFFS

It's more about taking the sure thing, rather than which matchup they would prefer to have. They would have preferred to avoid Phoenix....but not at the risk of missing the playoffs entirely.

Don't forget that the Clippers finished 7th last year and lost two consecutive play-in games at home and missed the playoffs entirely.

They certainly weren't going to take that risk again this year, especially with PG13 out.

Yep.

One more thing: a series is normally won by the better team. A game can be stolen by a team getting hot. No reason to risk being there if you can make the playoffs.

Mikal Bridges playing 83 games and not a single beep about it.

Wrong Anfernee, 21 Savage, Grant, the entire bench, and Bill Walton's former kneecap for Beard, Porzingod, and -most importantly- Juan Toscano Anderson.

Time to shake things up.

Dame and Nurk for Simmons, DFS, and Claxton works salary-wise on the tracker... Nets did get 4 unprotected 1sts in the KD trade...

Portland grows that organic 1:1 cbd:thc hybrid that may just heal the nerves in Simmons' back and in his brain. Brooklyn could have a fun squad in Dame-Dinwiddie-Mikal-Royce-Nurk. Nice blend of defense and scoring and Dame gets to try a bigger market for once.

In Portland Anf'nee gets to let it fly with zero expectations, and they score a young defensive stud in Claxton to pair him with....and still have Sharpe and Little, then Grant, Reddish, Winslow, Thybulle, and Knox all coming off the books or able to be re-structured.

Would be a fun trade

A Blazer squad with actual defense? *faints*

That's a damn fine 5. But Portland being Portland, they'll probably throw a bag at DeAndre and Gallinari...

I’d rather see them try for a guy like Myles Turner. The dream would be KAT which is exactly that - a dream lol

No matter what happens from here on out, I'm proud of the way Russ has closed out the regular season with the Clippers. Crazy how much better he is playing away from the black clouds of LeToxicity. I believe its all about his confidence returning with the trust his teammates, coaching staff have in him. You can see it with his jumper! And, unlike the Lakers, there are no politics with his minutes. I can tell he isn't furious if Lue rides with hot hands. At the Lakers, he would get benched even when playing well, some bullsh*t predetermined decision - Then they would lose anyway with LeGlory hoisting 3's. He is allowed to play his natural position when on the floor or actions are run to get him the ball in the post - again, very unlike his time at the Lakers.

The tenure started out super rough with that 0-5 start including those two crazy 1 point losses to the then red-hot Kings and another OT one to the Nuggets but since that point they are 11-5 including PG going down indefinitely and the whole Morris Sr debacle.

Tough series coming up though, Suns might be favorites to win the West? but I like that underdog status.

Default I'm assuming another name

I'm assuming they may be a sleeper team to throw an unreasonable bag at Trae Young this off-season.

Unreasonable bag? Wolves have plenty of those.

It would be tragic for the blazers to spend a bunch of money on a worse version of Dame.

I don't see the Pacers moving Myles. Especially after he signed his cheap extension and had his best season.

Has anybody mentioned that Kenneth Lofton Jr. scored 42 points and had 14 rebounds yesterday?

It's gonna suck for you when Russ is unplayable in the playoffs.

Anybody who actually wants KAT needs to think again....he's a soft big man who always underperforms in big games. There's a reason why the Wolves have been mediocre his entire career.

The front office of the Atlanta Hawks has "the green light from ownership to do whatever it wants to with the roster, which includes considering trade opportunities involving All-Star point guard Trae Young," sources tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Travis Schlenk exited the front office in December and the decision-makers are now Landry Fields, Kyle Korver and Quin Snyder. While negotiating his contract to become head coach of the Hawks, Snyder demanded and now wields substantial influence over personnel decisions.

Young is on Year 1 of a five-year, $215 million contract extension he signed during the 2021 offseason.

Didn’t see this one coming.

I don't see why everything wouldn't be on the table for the Hawks this off-season.

I'd absolutely trade Trae Young right now for Franz Wagner plus picks, Jalen Green plus picks, Shaedon Sharpe plus picks, Mikal Bridges.

In a world where Kevin Durant and Rudy Gobert are getting 5+ 1sts the Hawks would be stupid not to explore their options.

Everyone selling his cards are definitely going out of their way to make sure everyone knows this.

He might have to see some time given that Adams is out the rest of the year.

If they play the Lakers and the Lakers get their magical whistle then JJJ might be seeing some bench and they'll need someone to wear down AD.

It's the biggest news since Bol Bol dropped 30 in the bubble warm up games.

That’ll show him! Leave him home to collect his money instead of earning it so they can get embarrassed in LA.

Please, Silver, contract this abomination of an organization.
