Weren't there some on here that thought Gobert was the best/most important player on those Utah teams?

Did someone actually say that?

Quote it, please. They need ridicule.

The Wolves never cared to win. That’s why FAT never plays, they trade away the next decade of picks for a 7 foot baby, hire a coach who has no business being one and get a GM who lucked into Joker being all-world.

Wolves 2 best defenders out due to punching entirely different objects. If the Lakers lose this they deserve to get swept out of the mile high altitude.

Year 1 and he's a team cancer and total flop on the court. Wasn't hard to see this would be a disaster though.

High probability this ends up the worst trade in NBA history.

I can't believe that this is the only post I've found (there might be others but I haven't seen them) addressing Dallas tanking a chance to get into the playoffs. They should have their pick taken away by the league. This really brings the integrity of the game into question.

There are loads of teams tanking, why punish one? Portland was literally not playing any of their starters at the end of the year. Gonna take their pick? Jazz resting guys, pulling theirs?

Logically correct. The issue the NBA/Silver takes with the Mavericks is that with just two games left and a chance to make their vaunted play-in; Dallas took a hard pass.

Silver must be fuming especially after extending his hand and rescinding Luka’s 16th Tech of the season.

He's probably worried about backlash more than anything. His job is to soothe the egos between the stars, the corporate CEOs, and the billionaire owners and make sure everyone plays nice and the league is entertaining/presentable.

A chance to make the play-in. In their case, they had zero chance of making out of the 1st round if they get in the play-in and win in it. Smart approach, and they didn't do anything different than other tanking teams. They valued keeping their pick over potentially getting swept in round 1.

Play-in regardless has already proven to be a big positive for the NBA. Loads of NBA games this past several week that meant something that normally wouldn't have.

Basically, they've become cool with egregious tanking so long as teams submit their resignation letters within a reasonable time frame. The Mavs gave them 2 hours. But it won't matter, because ultimately the revenue will keep rolling in just like people that continue to purchase seats and PPV's when high profile boxers intentionally duck top contenders.

Gosh I hate the offensive foul rules.

At the very last second, Lowry does a two-footed hop out of the restricted area to land directly in front of a committed Murray. Rather than trying to play any kind of defense, he literally jumps in front of a layup drive and somehow gets rewarded for it. Maddening.

The Heat look like they completely forgot how to play defense.

Heatles look like basura. And they were already one of the most uninteresting squads to watch.

Barkley gueaaaaaaaaaaaroantee prophecies remain the fade.

Dejounte needs to figure this out. He should be feasting with Trae getting all the switch-offs.

It would be a great night if the Hawks can pull off this win and force Butler/Lowry into another play-in game just to face the Bucks in round 1.

Also fun to see the tit4tat flops with Butler/Lowry and Trae.

Do I need to start digging out my Jalen Johnson rookie cards? He’s been all over the floor to end the 3rd and now to start the 4th.

Eesh.

Based Herro and BBL Lowry the only ones that showed up for Miami today. Bam 8 points on 3/10? That man has regressed.

The Heat really need an actual big man that can protect the paint and grab rebounds.
