My standard order was moved to repository. Does that mean I'm close, or not really? This is my first time using them since 2018 so not real familiar with their flow these days

Gemrate has them around 40-60K per month , so say it's 50K / 20 work days; in theory that's 2,500 a day. Now, i've heard SGC that some graders fudge numbers on their submissions; which they MAY have been referring to BGS. 2,500 a day seems awfully high; considering how little is posted online. I'm sure it's more than 100; (or else they'd be out of business) but probably not 2K a day either.

Thanks

This website is a minuscule piece of the hobby BTW.

Check new listings on ebay.... there are tons of newly graded BGS cards posted every day.

I thought everyone HAD to post here? Jk.

I'm part of that shadow volume myself. I have an 8 card Standard order that should be finishing up here in the next handful of days.

Still waiting on a late January bulk submission. Got a PSA bulk submission back a month ago that I sent in at the same time. Will not be using them again.

Submitted a high end BCPA to BGS this week under the priority service. Card was delivered Wednesday, accepted today and now is showing a status of Moved to Repository. This is the first time ive graded anything in a really long time, how soon will the grades pop once moved to repository? I received a UPS tracking number already.

Standard order nearing completion. I'm at business day 19 of the 10-20 day TAT, so hoping I hear word soon. Estimate that I should be receiving my order within a week. One of my cards is extremely rare (2020-21 OPC Platinum 2019-20 Update Best In The World Sidney Crosby Auto) so it's possible that this card is holding them up in research. There's no real information on how rare it is, but the 2020-21 BITW Crosby Auto is 1:45,440. We'll see. I'll post an update when my cards have been graded and shipped.

First of all, you count business days after BGS has acknowledged receipt of your package. Business days exclude weekends. So if you're counting 10-20 calendar days (ie, including weekends) then your expected TAT will be off.

Second, the TAT they provide are estimates. You should expect a turnaround of approximately 10-20 business days. But it could go longer. You just have to be patient. As you can see from my post just a few minutes ago, I'm in the same boat. On business day 19 of the 10-20 BD TAT. I check multiple times a day lol, but patience is a virtue.

I’m not just counting this forum. I checked the eBay listings, from the last 100 listings from about the last ~12 hours, there were less than 5 cards from 2020 and beyond. Only one card from 2022 on newer listed. Odds are a majority of these older graded cards were not recently graded. IE: I don’t think people are grading Josh Jackson today.

I’m sure they grade more than what we actually see, but 50K monthly seems high, considering how little modern cards are posted online. Plus the TCG split too, is a factor.

You're probably looking at close to 5/17 for them to finish grading and then ship back to you

I also submitted base (40 business days). Last email communication was 4/3, them receiving the cards. Have not heard anything from them since. Is that your experience too?

Collector's special that delivered Feb 2, 2023 is scheduled to be delivered back home tomorrow. BGS had it graded on their website on 5/2 but the grades were not viewable until 5/3. The serial #s were NOT sequential.

Has anyone done drop off submissions at a show before? I completed a submission online and dropped it with a BGS employee on 4/28. It's not been entered or anything yet so I'm wondering how long a drop off usually takes?

I did the Collector's Special cards were received on 3/22 since than zero communication and no updates in the system. Sent a 51 card PSA sub in at $19 Grades popped in less than a month. Will never use BGS ever again, gave them one final chance and regret it.

Usually takes 2 months (40 business days) for them to get a job ID in system for me when I do base/collector's so nothing strange.

I just don't like being in the dark for 40 days guess it's a matter of preference. If PSA stick to these turnaround times I'll just stick with them. I like the way they keep in contact and let you know what stage in the grading the cards are in.
