It breaks my heart to say this, but seems like this is slowly experiencing the fate as the Sekou hype thread

IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?

Is Zion officially the biggest bust in NBA History….. or is it too soon to call? Did he really sit out the last Game of the season because he didn’t “feel like himself”, or was that just a ridiculous dream????

I've been on and off the Zion dislike train, mainly because I associate him with the run-up in prices, and even I would say he's far from the biggest bust in NBA history. He's still young and he proved on the court in the games he played that he is phenomenal.

The issue is the best ability is availability and he just doesn't have that one and may never get it.

As far a busts go ... As a knicks fan no one will surpass Fredrick Weis along with his fellow frenchman Frank N who they took instead of the homegrown kid Mitchell.

Greg Oden
Kwami Brown
Olowokandi come to mind as well

I think as far as hype in the collectible market Zion may be the all time biggest bust. I sure hope he can pull it together as he is still young, but he just doesn't seem to have it in him...

It's mind blowing how much his cards are priced even after missing a tremendous amount of games in 4 years. Are people still expecting him to have a massive turnaround?

I was watching his Kaboom PSA 10 and it still sold for $4600 US. That doesn't make sense to me.

I think quite a few are, yes. I often hear “he’s only 22”…. But that quickly rising number has nothing to do with his physical issues - whether he’s 18 or 89, he’s still a complete train wreck as an athlete ( from a health perspective )

Honest question: are you more upset about Zion's weight/health or Ja's affinity for guns?

Both are probably having a significant impact on the value of your 2019-20 wax which is seems to have a stranglehold on your emotions and computing activities.

More concerned with Zion….. if Ja is squeaky clean ( doubtful but possible ) and plays at an All-Star level for the next Decade++, the gun incident may be swept under the rug / he may get a pass.

With Zion - he’s not even playing - no way to sweep that under the rug!

…. and yes / “stranglehold” is the perfect term for me going haywire / the potential loss ( haven’t sold yet, so it’s only potential ) is nothing short of devastating- to my ego!!! / I’ve been at this for decades The money part comes and goes ….everything I speculate on is bought with completely disposable income … but the ego; only have one of those which I’m stuck with for life, and it’s VERY delicate and unforgiving!

The oddest necro bump.

Hypertension's supposed to be Kenan Thompson's concern - not yours.

The rest of the free world moved on over a month ago. I suggest you do the same, pops.

Wearing a black shirt and also draping another back shirt in front of his mid-section.

I mean, I can't definitively say he isn't slim.

Say what? I moved on YEARS ago! There’s been no financial, emotional, or psychological toll I’m still dealing with ‘till this day from the untold thousands spent on ‘19 BK Sealed Wax! …. I don’t care / never looked backed or gave it a 2nd thought

I mean it’s not like I sold some key Trout and McDavid RC’s to fund a large purchase of some over- hyped Prospect ….

To me its funny how breakers get fixated on certain players and that muscle memory of the hunt keeps their momentum alive for years.
