Some respect for Daniel Jones. I like it. Ridder at 40 probably ticked some people off on here. Seems low to me but I don't follow him too much.

Couple of observations:

While I can’t stand him, Aaron Rodgers should should be swapped with Justin Herbert. Until Herbert does something special and win some more games, he should not be top-five…

Jalen hurts and Lamar Jackson should be swapped. Jalen was on the doorstep of a Super Bowl title and MVP.

Daniel Jones is way too high. Would struggle to have him top 20

Would’ve thought Brock Purdy would show up higher than Baker and Pickett

Pretty comical that there are several back ups above Jordan love and Davis Mills

I'll say this: Simms seems to put a lot of stock into the talent level around QBs. His stance on Hurts is that the Eagles were one of the most talented rosters the NFL has had in years and that enhanced his level of play.

I could see moving Jones down, but the clear cutoff for my is Kyler/Mac Jones. Danny Dimes is far from the complete package, but at least you can say that he led his team to the playoffs and even carved up a team for a win in the first round.

As for Herbert, he's the guy that the experts love because of his physicals talent. Where the guys we mentioned before (Daniel Jones, Kyler, Mac Jones) all have ceilings on their levels of play, Herbert has the ability to be a best in the league type player if he can just figure the intangibles out.

ahead of Hurts (so, I'd have him at #9). I'm not saying he's bad, and yes he can squat 2 Tons, but honestly being pushed by your O-line for a yard to 2 just wasn't that impressive (athletically speaking). He did make some other plays in the Superbowl, but like 3 of his TD's were just a Rugby scrum where Jalen was along for the ride.

I'll need to see another full season from him where he can make the throws and significant runs and maybe less of the ragdoll-over-the-line-of-scrimmage plays.

That list was from two years ago when Burrow had 2 career wins and was coming off a major knee injury.

He was 4th last year.

Dak and Cousins combine for 3 playoff wins in 18 seasons. Jones has far more upside than either of those two guys at this point in their careers.

I disagree. Daniel Jones had 15 touchdown passes last year. Cousins and Dak had 29, Dak had 23 in 11 games. For reference, the Eagles backup QB Marcus Mariota had as many touchdowns as Daniel Jones.

And this is why he makes the lists this way. To get engagement "this guy is crazy"

And then we get crazy people defending it.

I'd wager anything that both of these QBs ranked below Daniel Jones "again" will beat his stats out pretty handily this year. We have seen enough of each of these QB's to know they potential at this point. I think Simms' whole philosophy is that he grades QBs on more than just stats.

And I'd agree, Jones is a bit high for my liking, and along with Lamar at 5, is probably one of the 2 most controversial spots. But if you look down a tier, the only guy that really sticks out to me as "ohh, he's better than Jones", is Geno Smith, and maybe Goff as well Right now, I'd hands down chose Jones over guys like Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, and Kyler Murray.
