To be fair there’s a wide variety of Kangs. This Kang was weak enough to be ousted by the other Kangs. The ones we see in the post credit scenes are far more powerful

Yes, this Quantumania one was a Kang "with cheese".
Towards the end of the "Loki" series, the Kang in that reality laid out the idea (lowered expectations, if you like) that other Kangs would be be hit and miss, at best.

I find it amazing the Marvel movie machine can get anything from this character at all. He was probably at his best in the comics in the Secret Wars mini-series, which came out almost 40 years ago.

Just because a villain comes from the early Silver Age of Marvel Comics, it doesn't mean that character wasn't lame, as was Kang. Before all of this, Kang wasn't ever on anyone's favorite character lists. Anything from him is lemonade.

I finally got around to watching this movie. I was a little disappointed but overall, it was an enjoyable watch. About a 6.5 for me.

One scene I really thought was dumb and unnecessary was the "you are a d***" scene. That was a really weak attempt at humor not to mention the very sudden change in Darren Cross\MODAK.

I liked it a lot more than I expected. Probably due to diminished expectations. The only things I really didn’t like…1. What the did to M.O.D.O.K. Don’t know what that was but it wasn’t him. 2. I missed AntMan’s crew. 3. I missed the younger Cassie. This actress was fine, but I still missed the kid. And why did they recast her from Endgame? The AntGirl story line just felt rushed.

Watched this when it dropped on Disney+ with the wife and we were both in agreement that this was..."meh".

Not bad, but not great either.
Had good moments, had meh moments, had bad moments.

My questions:
If this Kang was "easy" to defeat, who is the big bad of this Phase?
How horrible is he going to be?
Is Scott actually in a different timeline now that is being controlled by a Kang? Maybe the one from Loki?

Keeps me curious for the rest of this phase, definitely.

This movie was streamed at our house this weekend.

I chose my words carefully as not all of it was "watched"

Meh is too kind - it did not grab or hold attention - there were parts where I was interested in the "action" - but that was it

I mean Cassie was older and they seemingly attempted some character development with her...but it was poorly done...

A strong miss here

Yeah the Council of Kang main three Kangs should be very tough enemies.

Idk what is going to happen though with the actor's situation and the writer's strike though.

The strike is causing Disney to push back the release dates of several movies and the Avengers Kang movie will be delayed one year.

From: https://movieweb.com/disneys-delays-...-release-date/

The concluding films are being pushed back an entire year, just in case. Avengers: Kang Dynasty will now premiere on May 1, 2026, and Secret Wars will move from that date to May 7, 2027.

I said when Disney bought Star Wars we would see things go down hill because Disney only cares about profit. Disney would rather pump out as many movies as they can not caring about quality to make more money. Same thing with Marvel they don't care about quality just quantity more you pump out more people will pay to watch either thru movies or Disney+

At best only a 3 out of 10. I'm almost CGI'd out.
