This looks like more of an issue for LCS' with direct Topps accounts and not online breakers.

*No business to business sales of unopened product without Topps’ permission
This is pretty insane. |

Pretty easy to skirt the system.
A shop can just sell a case to joe blow for personal consumption, who will then in turn flip it to the breaker. |

Cases/boxes are said to be serial #d, taking the UD approach so they can see who the case was originally sold to

Why can't a shop sell their sealed product that isnt selling in their area to a shop across the country that is willing to buy it because they have a local buyer? Having to get Topps blessing is BS and a hoop/red tape that will hurt a small LCS. Is Topps going to approve these 'sales' in minutes or weeks? |

So, this is a more serious blow to dealerNet right? Or am I not reading/thinking about this correctly?

Also, does this mean fanatics will be able to track where all the big hits are? |

What I was replying to is shops will be able to 'skirt the system'. Which they likely will, but its stupid and waste of everyones time and resources. |

Those types of contracting terms are technically "open," but they are meant to close a network really really quickly.
See it in pharmacy all the time. Want to be a specialty pharmacy? -Have a 24/7/365 customer service number -Maintain a license in all 50 states -pharmacists must be licensed in all 50 states -Call pick up time must be < 5 seconds -Get accredited...by 3 accrediting bodies and maintain that accreditation Barrier to entry is high. It's a mirage of openness, meant to shift business to FATOPPS directly. I can't see the typical breaker broseph having the stamina to maintain such pristine and accurate records and follow through accordingly to FATOPPS demands.

This is much more leverage for the individual consumer. If the shop must move product to pay for expenses, you will get better deals especially when they are in a situation where they are forced to liquidate wax. Perhaps even at a loss.
I would love to see fanatics force a fixed retail price, like poopnini tried to do before. |

They want to get rid of any potential competition to their breakers so you can have a topps direct account, but you're going to be severely limited in what you can do with the product.

1. Updated ethical requirements 2. Store hours and re-selling provisions 3. Requirements to provide Topps related data on a quarterly basis 4. Promotion participation / adherence guidelines In addition to the above, Topps will also update the unilateral pricing policies that all direct buyers are expected to follow. Additional information will be available at a later date. |

So we as consumers can simply stop paying their full retail prices, then the shop owners will collectively complain and protest against fanatics to pressure them more, and more wax will get backdoored at super discounted prices. I love it - there is some hope for the hobby in the future. |

I've never seen a situation where someone pays a premium to purchase a company, then immediately turns around and undercuts most of what made that company worth paying a premium for.
Eliminating most breaks and a big chunk of LCS business is only going to hurt things in the long run. Who do they think has been opening this stuff? Fanatics-branded shirtless bozo breaks of cases of Definitive is only going to take you so far.
