$1mm. Becomes $10mm when you reinvest in the next stock market crash. And no concussions/permanent injuries.

I dont care how big or fast you think you are, NFL players are different breed of athlete.
Ya, I don't think people who never played in high school/college realize just how hard you get hit. Back in the 90s we'd go full speed in practice - I still remember getting knocked out in practice going up the middle and colliding with a 280ish pound DT. Woke up laying on the ball, so luckily no fumble. This was division III....

So basically almost everyone on the field was a high school all-star.

You move up from there to Div I and NFL and everyone is a former best player on their team.

Reading thru the strategies people would employ - especially for non-athletes - maybe you could get the 5 yards on 10 QB sneaks... but you're also quite likely to get injured and not be able to do a 2nd or 3rd play.

At my age now - basically the only shot I would have would be behind a monster oline or maybe in a 4th quarter blowout prevent defense where there are only 2 or 3 DL in the game.

DO we have all season to pick our plays... like coach I want in - we're down by 2 tds in the forth quarter - seems like a good time to run (since everyone will be looking for a pass)

Although honestly the last time I think this would have been realistic for me would have been 2005 behind these guys:

2005 Topps Total - [Base] - Silver #394 - Steve Hutchinson, Robbie Tobeck, Walter Jones
Courtesy of COMC.com

I used the laugh back then that I could have had 10 tds in 2005 running behind that line (for comparison Shaun Alexander had 28 TDs), so seems realistic assuming I just vultured TDs and didn't get hurt.

Since you said it had to be the team I root for - there were some pretty bad offenses in Seattle in the 90s, so back when I was in playing shape, might have been rough running behind those lines, but at least we could always go I-formation and sneak in behind Mack Strong.

1998 Ultra - [Base] - Gold Medallion #324G - Mack Strong

TLDR - at 49, no , just gimme the million

And they are still lying, at least to themselves.

These are the highest level of elite athletes, and they seriously injure each other.

It’s not about being able to actually gain yardage, but not die in the process

You are smart

Passing away or living in a hospital is the thread

Not 10 yards

Surprised none of the other forums have gotten in on the action.

Hit a single three pointer in one half of an NBA game…

Survive a punch from prime Mike Tyson…

Get on base once in 10 at bats…

Give up fewer than 5 goals in one period as an NHL goalie…

1 million

All of these are asinine

If you don’t take the million you’re a stupid person

Same as this thread

Psychos

Could Jamaal Charles or LaDainian Tomlinson come back Week 1 after going through training camp and get 5 yards on 10 attempts? Marshall Faulk? Barry Sanders? Herschel Walker?

I’m pretty sure Terrell Owens could finish with 500 yards and 5 touchdowns this season.

I saw an X-Ray recently of a female who had her feet up on the dashboard at the time of a head on collision.

Her femoral head was so disarticulated that it ended up tearing her a new b-hole.

My guess is cool stuff like that.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to make some really niche OnlyFans content.

The NHL one is actually possible, if you are on a good defensive minded team that blocks shots. Think emergency goalie replacements. Still wouldn't risk it for $1mm.

Hit a single three pointer in one half of an NBA game… Once again - maybe when I was playing basketball 3 hours a day multiple times a week... now, not so much.

Survive a punch from prime Mike Tyson… NO, JUST NO at any age

Get on base once in 10 at bats… Maybe crowd the plate and get hit by a pitch... do we get to pick the pitcher? Maybe back when I was playing lots of softball, might try to get a hit off a knuckler baller.

Give up fewer than 5 goals in one period as an NHL goalie… Been a long time since I even watched hockey other then Mighty Ducks on Disney+. Is there a defense good enough to give up less then 5 shots on goal in a period? I don't follow hockey so I could pick a favorite team. Also can I wear figure skates - from wearing Hockey skates one time, its really weird to not have a toe-pick.

Most of these challenges seemed geared to people under 40 or 30 or 20 (or whenever they stopped doing sports)

And honestly - if a 40-something none athlete tried to run an NFL carry - the adrenalin would get going, and they'd prolly pull something before they even got to the line.

And even then, social media has conditioned us to assume that everyone younger and fitter than us is putting up crazy numbers. If anyone needs a quick reality check on how strong the average college bro is:

[Thumbnail is clickbait. The winner only hits 265lbs.]
