Funny thing is that $2k is probably a reasonable price for that card given that back in April an SGC Authentic Mother's Day pink did $1k that was colored in the same way.

Dodgers are the overwhelming favorites to land him. Give the other west coast teams (Mariners/Padres/Giants) a non-zero chance of landing him.

I believe the only reason he chose to sign with the Angels over the Dodgers in 2018 was due to the fact there was no DH in the National League yet and so the Dodgers couldn't guarantee Ohtani playing as a 2-way player. The Angels could make that guarantee, so he ended up signing with them.

I don't know, but it's idiotic and short-sighted to ruin a card like that. Any person with basic cognitive functions would have practiced on a normal card and realized it's not feasibly passable. Damn shame.

Is that considered a tougher card?

Yes, it's the traded variation. Since Sho wasn't traded, it's the acquired date. Pretty tough pull.

It has the denoted "signed by the angels" and date in the white box instead of normal info. The code is also different too in the small print.

Thanks for the reply! I was never able to see any difference on the front and wondered how many people have one of these cards but don't realize it!

Although it would give me goosebumps to see Ohtani-San in Dodger blue, I’d love to see the Angels go all in and risk the kings ransom by giving it a run at the playoffs in the face of insurmountable odds, and win.
