YES! YES! YES! That's the biggest change I want to see.

Cards will continue to transform and evolve to keep up with what the masses want. It'll be interesting to watch. I remember all the moaning and complaining when Panini took over with their exclusive. Wouldn't it be ironic if we start seeing posts of how much Panini is missed?

Gonna see an uptick in ER visits around every drop.

Default Less stickers and authentic memorabilia

I think it is wild how Panini will put sticker autos on their high end products. I am almost certain when this era is looked back on the amount of money people paid for sticker autos will be the first thing people laugh about.

They should just completely stop with the one color authentic memorabilia patches. Either give people a three color numbered patch or an actual game worn patch.

For high end products I actually like the crazy amount of parallels and numbered parallels. It might be silly, but I don't think it's pretending to be something it's not.

I just want some reasonably priced chromium type product hobby boxes with some cool parallels and few numbered cards and maybe a couple of on card autos per case.

I tend to agree with much of this. I do always find it interesting how much dislike sticker autos get though.

[QUOTE=Seahawks fan;18946592]For football I would make a flagship product to mirror what Upperdeck does with flagship Hockey with a series 1, series 2, and Extended release. That way every player gets a card, new emerging rookies/stars in a season can get a card and you can look forward to that, Mascots get cards, great Rookie design with enough scarcity that it's still valuable even though it's easy to get, etc. All while boxes are $100 or less. AKA make the collecting aspect fun again and affordable.

I would love to see one release each year that has a much bigger checklist! Series 1, 800 cards; Series 2, 400 more cards! That gives every team about 38 players with a card each year.

I don't want all releases to have that many cards, just one! I think that would make team collectors happy for sure.

Would also be great for the players who change teams/get traded mid season to get cards with their new team. With 3 series you can get a card of Josh Rosen on all 3 teams he will be on next season.

Kill the excess.

Rainbows shouldn't take up more than a 9-card binder page.

Kill the excess

Only 7 pro releases and only 3 college releases.

Make Flawless an online exclusive release for the big fish gambler degenerates. That's it.

Pro

Flagship Donruss or Regular Topps (Rookies and Vets)
Classics (Vets only)
Optic (only Rated Rookies, Vets are SSP)
Prizm or Chrome (Rookies and Vets)
Contenders (Rookies and Vets)
Impeccable (Mostly Vets, Rookie RPA's are SP)
National Treasures (Rookies and Vets)

Collegiate

Score
Contenders Draft Picks
Immaculate Collegiate

Ten releases is probably too few, but even if we could get it down to 25, it would be a huge improvement (and that is about a new release every other week for the entire year on average). Perhaps then, we could also have 2-3 months of no releases, so we could all miss new football cards being released. As it is right now, there are still several 2022 releases coming, and we are about to start 2023 releases.

As it stands I have NO player worn unless it is also autographed. But just a jersey card? Pass. You give me a Jerry Rice game worn patch from 1995... I'm in.

I would strive for on-card autos, and strive for no redemptions.

I would tier releases. There is so little difference between releases anymore. If you do a draft release, use camp photos and have a long, deep checklist of rookies. High end - make it spectacular like the first Flawless Basketball release was. Give people releases that cover different areas of the hobby. The Hitz 'n flip crowd will burn out if the cash isn't flowing.

Fantatics should stop try to monopolize the market. I like my cards graded by PSA. I like that card shows are independent. I don't want one place trying to siphon my wallet dry.

There are things Panini did right - like the "Super Bowl Signatures" sets. How about a long running, multiple releases, multiple year set of "Franchise greats". Same design, on-card. People would eat it up. I would. Collectors have OCD. Giving them a reason to keep collecting over the years is a good idea.

I think most collectors live in the middle of the "spending" pack. Fanatics would be wise not to cater to the idea that big money people will stay in cards. A few, sure. But there are lots of sports fans that do not care about cards. Or they care about the cards that they care about. Very narrow.
I agree with this message.
