6 box 2023 Heritage breaks

After buying cases in 2021 and 2022 and seeing prices of 2022 drop so far, decided to wait. Got 3 boxes from my parents for my 51st bday, bought @ $75 each from our hosts here, and picked up 3 more elsewhere for $70 each.

Opened the three cheaper boxes on my own.
First box yielded the Schmidt puzzle. Pretty neat. Also the Perez black border and the Garrett auto. Nice hits, wrong names. I though it was a tad odd that there were no image/error/name swaps etc.

Saturday the 15th was my bday. Parents took the wife and I out to dinner and then opened a couple presents and collectively busted the three boxes from them. That produced the black chrome Naylor and the Greene redemption along with the Grote buyback and the Gorman boxloader. And nothing else. Hmmmmm.

So….onto today. Sorting out the set….I found a couple image variations…the Rodriguez and the Ohtani….then the Betts….then the Alvarez! Looked through the SP’s again and found the Lindor error.

Overall this was a very fun rip from what should be a sort of dry product. The quality is much improved over last years and the pictures and images are better as well.

One thing I found frustrating last couple years was near duplicates of all inserts and lots of the SP’s. With these six boxes I pulled 399/400 base and 42/100 sp’s as well as slightly more than half of the inserts. I think I am done at this around $435 worth. Doesn’t seem much sense to buy more unopened. I’d rather complete my master set buy buying lots and individual cards
