I pretty much collect only 80's stuff. I'm stuck in my childhood LOL and that's what I still like, almost to a fault.

Kevin Brown was a very solid MLB pitcher. The PED issue will haunt him, unfortunately, but the guy had some really awesome seasons.

I think he had a better career than some of the recent pitchers voted in by the veterans committee. Yeah, the PED factor is big here…

All-Star, WS Champ and NLCS MVP in 1991. One of the top pitchers on those memorable Braves teams of the early 1990's. Low pop on this key (for me) rookie!

Some Tiffany and Glossy ones for you…

1988 Score Traded Glossy had the most limited print run of any set up until 1993 (Finest and Stadium Club). At 3k sets It does not seem to draw much attention (maybe it was lost in the junk wax craze).. Well, here is my submission, none other than Chris Sabo on his RC. 3x All-star, ROY, WS Champ. Hustle and determination, along with the Rec Specs..

Tino was a integral part of my favorite Mariners teams from 90-95. But he is better know for his contributions to the Yankees and their 4 World Series wins from 96-00.

Limited print run 1988 Score Traded Glossy. This 3x All-star ranks in the top 10 in many Orioles offensive categories. Hit a then Oriole record 50 hr in 1996. Also a good friend of Cal Ripken Jr. Brady Anderson’s rookie card…

Picked up this Reardon RC, 4x All Star, WS Champ in 1987 with the Twins, Saves leader, 2nd all time in saves to Lee Smith when he retired. Sad story about his son's death and its impact on him. Glad to hear he seems to be doing well recently.

They are overlooked quite often. Print run at 3,000 for the rookie and traded sets these came from and 5,000 for the base set. Centering is pretty rough on these typically too, L/R mainly.

Fernandomania! Won his first 8 starts back in 1981, 5 of them being shutouts. Went on to quite the career with 6 all-star appearances in 6 straight years, WS champ, CY Young and ROY in 1981, Gold Glove, 2x silver slugger, no hitter.

Sosh also makes his RC appearance here, He is the only MLB player and manager to spend his entire career playing and managing with one team on each side, Dodger and Angels respectively. 2x All star, 3x WS champ, 2x AL manager of the year.

Perconte lasted for 6 years in the majors. Managed to steal 60 bases in 68 attempts for the Mariners. Runs Marathons and teaches youths about baseball.

Love the front, typical O/C back for this card. Quite the trifecta! I will post my own scans when it arrives in a few days.

1982 Topps Traded Ripken rookies in PSA 10 have generally been in the $4-5k area since coming down from pandemic-level highs. All of a sudden, in the last month or so there have been a couple auctions both ending north of $8k, and some apparent sales even higher than that maybe as high as $12k.

It was his birthday around the time of several big sales -- which seems incredibly odd to be a major (or even minor) price-moving event. So ... anyone have any ideas? Is the 80s premium RC/HOF/PSA 10 market moving this significantly upward, is this just an anomaly, some kind of highly targeted shill bidding scheme?

The pumpers are working on this one. Not too hard to create market stir on individual cards. The template on how to do it was used quite a bit during covid. Let the dust settle.

And this isn’t even his rookie card.

I still have a bunch of cards from the 80's to collect. As you can see I have duplicates on many of the stuff. These are my baseball that just popped from PSA. Love to trade!

Edit: Before I get flamed, yes I know some of these are XRC's. I actually like the XRC's for some players more than their "true" RC.
