So I think the mini diamond rookie autos in Breaker's Delight SKU are out of 23 or 24. Helps that they are only found in that format and makes the calculation a bit easier. Wish they'd just serial number it to take out the guesswork, but such is life. Based on calcs below:

Legend SuperfractorAutos (Breaker's Delight Exclusive) - 1:859 boxes/packs. 14 subjects. 12,026 total packs/boxes. That puts Rookie Auto Mini Diamond (129 players assuming it follows normal rookie auto subject list. That's a BIG assumption for calc purposes) at 23.3 with them falling 1:4 boxes/packs.

Youthquake Superfractor (Breaker's Delight Exclusive) - 1:246 boxes/packs. 50 subjects. 12,300 total packs/boxes. That puts the Rookie Auto Mini Diamond of 23.83 per player.

Bought a hobby and jumbo… very good reminder that Topps chrome is brutal.

At least the quality is much better this year.

Feel like I've seen some steals on singles of top rookies like Carrol, Henderson, Walker, Jung, Yoshida so far.

Always fun to see what goes on with the new release and how high or low sellers price stuff at.

The problem is, we won't know for awhile how many different products those base cards are going to appear in. I think there's more 2022 Topps Chrome Wander RCs than there are 89 Upper Deck Griffeys.

A few different folks on Loupe were doing case breaks and selling personal boxes. OPC_baseball being the one I was buying my personals from.

Are you saying mini diamonds are short printed to 23 or 24? I just hit a Volpe auto mini diamond out of a breakers delight box.

23 or 24 hinges on the MAJOR ASSUMPTION that all 129 rookies signed their Mini Diamond cards and are part of that checklist. I watched a bunch of those boxes ripped this morning and saw a ton of not so highly sought after names with Mini Diamond autos, so I don’t feel awful about making the assumption that that parallel’s checklist mirrors the full rookie auto checklist.

My jumbo box. Not pictured are probably $60 in Ohtani buybacks.

Bought one hobby for $135.

Harper refractor out of 75. Spencer Street regular auto. None of the big name rookies even in a regular card.

FYI bjs has $100 fanatics giftcards on sale for $70 in stores. Will go a long way to making chrome buys more manageable!!!!

You’ll have to wait a week or more to get them, but at least you’ll save a few Hundo!

Ok thanks. So they definitely are short printed. I think most people don't realize that this year.

No problemo. These are approximate numbers, so it could vary. I dove in to look because of the Corbin Carroll auto I hit. So I’m hoping my math is accurate

My first impression after opening my 2 boxes. The Prism cards are easy to miss because laying flat the design doesn't show up. You really have to do the whole breaker wave it around in every direction under a really bright light at just the right angle same goes for refractors since they are no longer labeled as refractors like years past. Overall condition is much better but there are the occasional OC card 1 of which in my box was an Ohtani but thanks to the buyback it doesn't matter.

Admittedly I haven't looked at any kind of checklist so a couple nice surprises for me were what appear to be a Silver Wave /75 and Green Wave /99 type design. I was under the impression Greens were retail exclusives.

There are only a handful of retail exclusives - base card X-fractor, sepia and pink refractors (non-numbered); base card purple sonar refractor (/275); Topps in Technicolor insert green (/99); and rookie auto green (/99).

So after looking at cardboard connection apparently the /75 wave card is supposedly a Blue Wave but it dang sure looks silver to me.
