Would guess that we wouldn’t have any advantage as MC members. Would expect them to only deliver what was mentioned.

No chance. The only surprises we get are the garbage ones that nobody wants. Almost certainly will be dutch auctioned so they can milk every last drop out of it.

I was on the fence to join Montgomery, but I was hoping that Topps would "surprise" us with something or two so I renewed, but it never materialized.

And I can't be upset with Topps because they were up front about the benefits of being a member.

It is what it is; was it worth it at $149.99? Not for me.

What I really miss are the various sets that we used to receive throughout the year.

This was my exact thought process too.

I'm not mad at Topps/Fanatics about the membership, since it was clearly stated up front.

I am disappointed that they've chosen to run it into the ground. That said, I understand why. Demand for almost everything skyrocketed unforeseeably just a year or two after they started it.

I originally bought into the club for the sets. Outside of a select few, though, I wasn't all that impressed with them.

Fanatics certainly realized quickly the club wasn't really benefitting them. No harm in that either.

The rising number of parallels and cost is, in general, what bothers me most. But it is what it is. I have just learned to be more selective in my collecting habits. I see this turning into this generation's junk wax explosion where oversaturation and bloated pricing eventually drives out the core demographic, slowly normalizing demand again somewhere further down the road.

I viewed this years membership as a place holder for when football and basketball come to Topps. Short term this wasn’t going to be a banger year, but I think those who jumped in this year and drop out may be kicking themselves when nfl and nba eventually come back. Assuming Monty members get any deals or early access on some good products. Who knows, I also could have just wasted $150. I knew what I was getting. Still holding out long term hope.

That's a reasonable expectation. Trouble is, they failed to deliver what was mentioned in either of the last two years. Why should 2023 be any different?

The original pre-sale offering list also included '23 GPK Sapphire & '23 Bundi Sapphire.

I bought an Mbappe Refractor PSA 10 for $102, Gold raw for $250, Haaland Gold PSA 9 for $250, and Lewandowski Red for $179. Great looking set. Terrible value break.
