Is there one player per page or are there players on the front and back?

This kind of find (and major congrats, of course!) makes me wonder how many hidden gems like this might be in all those old dusty and musty collections of 70-80-100 year old books that anyone who's ever been to antique shops has probably seen sitting around in various booths. You just never know!

Was thinking the same. How many attics were cleaned out for relatives and items like this were just thrown in random book lots at estate sales.

Or, WORSE; simply, tossed in the trash...without ever crackin' the cover of the book & realizing what they might have on their hands!

I'll give you $250...you can more than triple your profit.

Awesome find my broski!

Imagine what this would be worth if it did have the pages signed of Babe Ruth & Ty Cobb?!?!?!

Well it seems the consensus is that these signatures are legit. My next question is does it matter who I use to get them authenticated? Right now it's between PSA and BAS, will either one effect the value of the autos? Thanks again.

Either PSA or BAS for the autos. If slabbing the pages do PSA imo

This is amazing. I have a similar book for football that I didn't realise was signed until I went to frame it in a shadow box. So much history here!

PSA , and you're going to want you to get your story out there. A news piece, Beckett magazine, get the story out there. Find of a lifetime at a garage sale or whatever. The more publicity the more buzz. It's a very rare piece and would bring a nice press at one of the large auction houses if you decided to sell it. But it will definitely bring higher numbers the more publicity has.

I'm curious to see what they charge you to authenticate it. I'm sure it will cost a pretty penny but worth it. If it were me I would definitely keep it intact and not break it up.

Yep, I have no intention of breaking this up, but I’m also leaning towards having a COA for each signature which will probably be expensive but better longterm.

I would go with whichever you can do in person at a local show. And just do one LOA for the entire item for now.

If you ever decide to sell, the auction house you go with will get the bigger autos individually authenticated, or at least they should.

I would just go with the cheapest, safest method (in-person) for now to ensure all the autographs pass authentication.

Amazing to see. As I was born/raised in Woonsocket it is the most iconic one to me.

Yeah, I think going to a show somewhat close to me where I can get the autographs authenticated is my best bet.
