I'm not worried about enough people working on opening and processing the packages. They have to count the cards for each submission, and that will take time.

I am worried about enough people scanning and identifying cards.

Is there some way to tell COMC that whatever they use to generate eBay listing titles is failing for a specific kind of cards?

As someone mentioned, you can contact them through eBay, but you can also contact them with the red button on the lower right of the COMC page.

It may or may not help. There are some listings where the eBay title just sucks and there isn't much that can be done about it. Other than maybe buying those items, taking physical delivery, and posting them on eBay with a better title.

And like clockwork, my large flat rate from 8/16 got checked in today. One question I have is that this is my first time submitting to COMC in several years and when I did it before, the cards were processed no earlier than a few days before the deadline if not the day of the deadline. It sounds like a lot of the Standard are moving significantly faster than that now. Would it be a reasonable expectation to think that a lot of my standard submission could be done in time for the Black Friday sale if not even earlier?

It is possible. I think one reason they probably made Standard Processing 16 weeks was so that they would have a lot of wiggle room, not necessarily that they would take the full 16 weeks to process them. Or at least not all of them. I've had instances where 1,000 cards from a 1,200 card submission are processed relatively quickly, and the others drag on almost to the deadline.

So my 3k cards got checked in today. I had 88 going elite. Just got the email all 88 are finished already a few hours later. Redemption!

I think it depends on what is in your elite submission... I had three different elite submissions in the shipment received this week. The elite submission of raw cards in top loaders has been processed... the two others were PSA slabs and Topps Now sealed/mag'd. I am guessing those will come through tonight or tomorrow night.

Mine are all toploaders. Hopefully something comes up within next couple hours. Being at 14 days on a 2 week sub stinks. Understand the massive amount of orders but to me seems they are picking and choosing (some people in here have said later delivery dates checked in).

I got my first shipment in from COMC today, and for the most part everything is fine except for one of my pricier cards which came with two white corners.. I had a couple other cards with similar issues but they were fairly cheap. This one in particular is a $50+ card and if I knew about this damage I wouldn't have bought it. Sent them a message and hoping for the best..

I've personally been harping on COMC as a buyer whenever I get a card I believe that they would give a condition note on if it was my card as a seller. Because they are leaving SO many condition notes especially on cards that seemingly have no damage at all, if I get a damaged card (white corner etc) and there was no condition note I'm asking for a refund.

Had a package delivered on 8/17 still waiting to be entered. I even emailed just to get confirmation they have it but didn’t hear anything.

At the same time, a standard order I sent in July is already 2/3 of the way through, way faster than expected.

Need this 8/17 box to get logged cuz I had a bunch of select (specially slabs) I want to get listed and moved for more COMC credit

Or you could look at the high-quality scans before you buy? I realize there will be exceptions to that, but they should be rare or only with certain surfaces.

The scans on this card weren't what I consider "high quality" but I don't think anybody could tell these corners are white from the scan alone. I checked again just now and I just see corner shadows.

Of the 20+ cards I got in this order (I know it's not a lot, but still..), this is the only one that stuck out at me as not matching what I expected. Their packing is not the greatest BTW, as every single penny sleeve is folded at the top from them sandwiching it between top loaders. In any case I'll report back with what they say.

Hey, just to clarify my comments were in response to JV only referencing his, "if I get a damaged card (white corner etc) and there was no condition note I'm asking for a refund."

If we do a "why did COMC die" board, I've got dibbs on whiny, entitled buyers wasting massive amounts of COMC's time on cards under $100.

I see that, but I'd be in the same boat then. This card did not have anything noted, and the scan didn't show anything either. It wasn't until the card showed up that it was obvious the card has corner wear.

Ziggy. Big picture, buddy. He's essentially saying he doesn't have to look at the scans. It's COMC's job to thoroughly examine each card and report any condition issues in the condition notes. And that he will return the cards even if the scans show the damage. You're not in the same boat... you're not even in the same ocean.

Putting a lot of words in my mouth!

I'm saying if they are going to spam condition notes as a seller on cards with no obvious issues, I expect the same as a buyer, and you would be correct on only one thing (since you put lots of words in my mouth). I don't check their scans zoomed in and spend a bunch of time examining cards (that's their job!!!!) for damage. If there's damage in 2023 I'd expect with their spamming of condition notes that they have flagged it. If I see something easily I'll email to confirm if it's damaged or not. I'm not out to bone other sellers either, I've never returned a card. I will however ask for a refund. If COMC chooses to that's their choice. I don't buy cards really worth more than $3.

How white of a corner are we talking? A white corner or two that can't be seen on scans might prevent a PSA 10, but you aren't guaranteed anything more than a PSA 8 buying raw on COMC.

I am dubious that a white not visible on the scan is major enough to drag a card out of 8 or 9 grade territory.
