What a difference a couple weeks make after getting the Pokemon go Plus Plus+++.... I finally had to stop click catching with Ultraballs so I have a bunch left for Go Fest






got 2 of the sleepy hat Snorlax so far - but that Pokemon sleep is pretty annoying and not sure how it figures out the hours of sleep, I don't take my phone to bed with me as never on call for work past 10pm, so I just turn it on once I am done with the phone for the night... and the next day it tells me I slept somewhere between 4-9 hours of sleep. its a different number each night, but its usually set 10+ hours, so not sure how it calculates it.

We do like to laugh that there is a Pikachu trapped in the Pokeball(I guess that fits with the game - trapping small animals in balls) and we make him sing (singing Pikachu is one of the features)

The sleep registering is weird...Mine always says 4+ hours even though it's 10 or more it's on.

Also - we pulled off the cover on the Go Plus Plus Plus+, and this is what we found inside.... (Dramatic re-enactment... no actual Pikachus were hurt in this)

Hope everyone ended up with good shinies for Go Fest- I ended up with 15... nothing good until the last RayRayRaid I did on Sunday before I had to go back to work.

It was the first raid drop of a shiny of the weekend for the goup I played with... so even though overall shiny rates were up (10 on Sat, 5 on Sun)

Seemed like raids were left normal or even turned down (1 shiny in a raid out of about 50 we did locally - no idea how people did remotely)

Unrelated, but I see a lot of people online complaining about routes, and I even thought they were pointless at first... but I got lucky - at the local park, several routes including one that starts by were I finish my run( I do the loop in the corner of the park), and ends by where I park my car.

So did this one a few times, and was complaining also because it skipped about half the stops in the park

So I started testing how far you could get off the route and still have it "count"

You just need to keep your radar touching, not stay right on it, so I can stay "on route" and still hit all the stops



Also can get elite TMs as a reward(I got one, so rewards are better then expected)

also the Zygarde cells can appear anywhere on the route, not just the end(found one when walking off to the side, well off the main route) and also several times in the same spot mid route.

It does seem like your buddy, especially walking buddies, want to stay right on the route and are confused when you stray.... but Flying buddy seems a-ok with it

With proof - had a cell drop by me when radar was barely touching the route


I wonder if that's why it seems like only ~50%ish drop rate for cells... maybe dropping, but not always right by the route?

Any good Raids tonight?

I will be going for my walk at work around 6PM Arizona Time, which is 9pm Eastern. I work at Sky Harbor Airport. Just on the route I take there are 6 Gyms that I can reach without using a Remote Pass, there is a 7th Gym, and depending on how the wind blows, I can sometimes reach with a Standard Raid pass. There are another 4 Gyms that I can reach with Remote Passes. I do 3 laps around Terminal 4, inside, not outside... it is roughly 3 miles total. I walk this route daily, and 2x on Wed (I work a double shift, 16 1/2hrs).

Since I work every Wed, if anyone needs or wants to get in on some raids, let me know.

Kartana is one of the best grass types in the game. So make sure to be doing plenty of those if you're able. Two people can take it down easy.

Did a few, not a lot of interest it seems since I didn't see a lot of "online" trainers from my friend list. Which makes sense since this isn't it first go round.

With the increase in remote raid passes, I see a decline in people joining raids that aren't 1st time appearances. When it's a new or 1st time Pokemon I can usually get 9-10 people to show up, when they are repeats i am lucky to get 3.

Will have to try and set something up each Wed in the morning to see who is up for raiding... give me an idea of who to send invites to first.

Been having a lot of fun with this Adamant Time event. Good mix of fun spawns that I need to farm candy to eventually max a few hundos, and I've scored on shinies of rhyhorn, oddish, koffing, and voltorb this week, plus another shiny charmander I don't need, 3 more shiny ditto, as well as a shiny zekrom from battle rewards. Also some fun raids lately with shadow porygon, haven't gotten a good IV one yet though

Man that's an impressive haul. I've gotten a Zekrom and an XXL Vulpix. Most everything else is just candy and dust. It's been a good event in my opinion

It helps a lot that my apartment overlooks a big parking lot so I continually have a lot of mons spawning without needing to my place. Even better, a stop was added right on top of me recently too. I definitely wouldn't not be grinding so much nor have nearly as much to show for it if I had to get out and about to play. I don't want to stay in this apartment much longer, but not gonna lie, the location for this game helps a lot

How's everyone been enjoying the game lately? This week has been fun with getting access to some regionals. Was only able to get into 1 raid for uxie and we needed literally 5 more seconds to defeat it, but that was the only one of the lake trio I missed adding to the dex. Also got pachirisu/chatot/carnivine added this week which is awesome too. Usually not a huge fan of eggs, but 2km eggs plus half hatch distance has been a lot of fun. Really hoping I can get lucky and get a shiny bonsly. Did get a shiny mantyke which was cool!

Earlier this month I really liked the dragons unleashed event. Didn't get any hundos out of it, but landed 96% or better of bagon, gible, and deino, plus a ton of candy and just about enough XL candy to max each of them out. Recently got enough mega energy to mega evolve garchomp, and very close to enough for mega salamence as well. I ignored megas for a long time after they came out so I've been playing catchup looking for opportunities to get mega energy for a bunch of them. Only thing I was bummed I didn't get from this event was a shiny shuckle, I went hard for that lil guy but no luck
