I have to ask, did anyone actually trust an account with "porn" in its name and an anonymous owner? Can I start a social media account and declare myself the hobby watchdog and people will trust me?

Actually, yeah. I had reached out to him a handful of times over the past few years and he was always kind, respectful, and helpful. I'm a little surprised to hear about what's going on, but greed is a powerful demon.

I had some mail come my way from a trusted source that the owner of the account worked for BGS in some capacity and that if true, would bring into question the Goldin Cardporn auction.

As you said, Darren confirmed it in the live (as did Probstein in the comments) and that more information would be coming soon.

Cardporn was quite obviously a front for marketing services/was a marketing service. I don’t think that was even in question, at least to me.

Cardporn was the biggest PSA shill. He would post stuff about other grading companies and drag them thru the mud, but when commenters would tell him that PSA just got caught for the exact same thing, his go to excuse would... "they grade more cards". OR when there is a big PSA mishaps, he would down play it and say "PSA deactivate it", but when another grading company do something less more minor, he makes it a huge deal.
