BBater31 blocked me because he was getting drilled in the Jasson thread. He’s going on about how he doesn’t miss and how prophetic he is, meanwhile he’s lost money on his Ohtani investment (bought at peak during the pandemic plus another 30%’since the injury) and then Jasson blows out his UCL.

As for Vlad, it’s another buying opportunity as people panic sell. If you ain’t buyin’, you ain’t tryin’. Hopefully Bbater buys Vlad so if there’s a spike, he can sell and recoup some of his losses.

One of the worst defenders in baseball coupled with horrendous baserunning caps his WAR potential and will never allow him to compete for an MVP. Though this season he ranks almost dead last in WAR among players with at least 550 PA(64th out of 67)

I believe he was decent at 1B when he moved over… what has changed??? It doesn’t look his girth changed that much (but what can I really see?)

FG Def hated him last year too at -15.4 but OAA only had him at -4 in 2022. He just really needs to DH until he proves he can be a serviceable 1B

Definitely after his TJ surgery and probably after his first (maybe second) PED suspension.

Vladdy is trying to hit 3 HR every at bat. Once he learns to how to calm down and and let the game come to him instead of forcing it, he'll be fine.

I hope you are right. I can’t understand knowing that every pitcher is throwing the down and away pitch to him. How has he not learned to lay off that pitch.

right now Vlad can't even hit a fastball. He's late on everything; his last homerun was on a hanging change-up. There's so much wrong with his mechanics and approach, only an off-season will give him the time to correct it.

Heard some speculation today that the surprise trade of the offseason will be Guerrero. Saying it's the last chance to get a real haul for him if he continues like this and that he's the only real hole in the lineup now with emergence of Davis Schneider.
