Seriously, though, Fanatics should be paying close attention to the plats buying habits. If they start losing plats, or lowering the threshold, it feels ominous for the long-term future of Now.

was that the ball relic? I was able to get one of those and there were only like 15 of them so that was not a bad buy

Mini rant but here goes:

I’ve long suspected they have been marking everything as “sold out” in under an hour to create the illusion of these going quickly to influence future buying patterns. Example: the Judge 3 homer relic was quickly marked as “sold out”, however there hasn’t been a single one surface for presale despite it being made up to the /199 parallel. When something legit sells out, there are usually 10-15 up for presale right away. Think Ohtani and Elly from earlier this year. I think they can estimate sales based on how many sell right at the start of the window and have been pulling the plug rather than being embarrassed by product sitting unwanted for hours. Remember these bases only cost around $200-300 so it doesn’t take many sales to recoup their investment.

Interesting they are letting these two sit there. Even before the Fanatics influence, Topps would slowly mark everything as “sold out” before the window closed. Maybe an intern dropped the ball? It’s refreshing to see buyers send a message here though. This random pack crap is a horrible way to sell these and is just a discreet way for Fanatics to control who gets what.

This has been the worst year for Now collectors since the program was started in 2016. Id like to thank Fanatics for ruining what was a great program and concept and saving me a lot of money. Here’s hoping that next season they get rid of the random pack concept and go back to letting buyers choose their own parallel if they are quick enough. It was always fun scoring a /5 or even the occasional 1/1 if fast enough. Now, they charge prices where the value to chase simply isn’t there as typically only the /5’s and 1/1 are worth what they’re charging for the packs.

This seems really really hard to imagine for a variety of reasons.

I'm guessing as we get late in the season people have less coupon codes. I haven't been able to buy any from anyone in forever at $20 for $40 code. So I'm guessing that while you could talk yourself into a Ronny relic for $160, $200 is just too much to swallow. The Harper & Ronny are probably just suffering from nobody cutting $40 off the top with TN points. And they are both still available with 3 hours to go.

I got notification last week that it was shipping from FL where most of my Topps shipments come from. A FB group Im in also have them showing up today.

Regarding the Wemby relics.

Positive : Even the least rare /499 have a pinstripe
Negative : It's probably not until /25 or less that we see a patch being used

I probably got mine in the mail box today (didn't get the chance to go down there today at my apartment).
