OBO must not mean OBO….no I didn’t make an offer.

To think what it takes to open the product and then hit the odds of being mint etc….nice card I think.

It's below in every rate stat, but either way, he hasn't improved at all since his age 20 season.

I said he's fine.

What does Correa and Lindor have to do with Soto? Weird comment.

Jus saying anyone looking for these guys in 2023 I would take their comment with a grain of salt about how good another player is

One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Weird flex.

Francisco Lindor has a higher bWAR and fWAR than Soto this year.

That should tell you how "great" Soto's year is.

Cherry-pick stats much? Look, I can do that too:

OPS+
Lindor = 114
Soto = 154

WAR? What is it good for?

I'm not cherry picking. OPS is a component of WAR. Not accounting for defense seems like cherry picking. Unless you think defense isn't important for winning games.

It was a point being made in response to the poster who brought up Lindor.

Francisco Lindor is a generational defender who also happens to hit pretty well.

He's a career 153 wRC+. He had a 151 wRC+ season. It's the slightest bit off his career mark. For reference, Ken Griffey, Jr. was a career 131 wRC+. Willie Mays was 154.

Correct, that is why he has a higher WAR than Soto.

That is one of the rate stats, there are others.

All offensive rate stats have Juan Soto as a premier offensive player.

A .268 avg is premiere?

For the record, I collect Juan Soto. He is one of my favorite players. I can't help but be slightly disappointed with his season because of the extremely high expectations. When he was 20, the Ted Wiilliams projections seemed feasible.

Ah yes. Looking at batting average. I guess we are back to the 90s in discussing offensive performance and being dumbfounded by how not making an out is incredibly valuable. I'd also wait until later than his age 24 season to proclaim this to be the peak of his offensive abilities.

No doubt the best buy of any hobby good guy going into 2024. It's stupid how cheap his stuff has got with how little supply is out there. It's 4-5x for his low end stuff if he makes an MVP run

You said all offensive rates stats are premiere, not me. We can do slugging at .506 if you like as well.

As a Soto fan I hope he hasn’t peaked offensively. But the current situation is that he is the same player now as he was as a 20 year old.
