I would take the Gold in a heartbeat over that jersey. I'd take a Blue too

Does that mean you'd pay twice as much for the card than the jersey? At those prices?

I'd rather have a Gold than 2 game-used jerseys, yes. The game-used market has clearly has gotten exponentially more expensive than it was many years ago when that market was on my radar. I never would've guessed an Acuna regular season jersey was worth 4k+. Seems nuts to me

As opposed to the card market?

I don't think that a random autographed regular season jersey is selling for those prices.

That is a massive shift in his odds. Some sharp must have made a massive bet, or they got some information to suggest Ronald has it about locked up

Yeah they got the tip that he hit two homers yesterday, is one away from 40/40, and there’s only 10 or so games left

Aren't limits on props like that peanuts? I haven't bet sports since 5dimes was the best option for US bettors.

(a) It's being sold through PWCC
(b) It's a BGS 10 ... I mean, come on. How likely is that?

I don't think this is considered a prop bet. It's a futures bet. I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure this is treated similar to things like betting on the World Series.

Mattress Mac just made his annual news for his most recent $2 million Astros bet. I don't believe the line moved much, if at all. Major shifts don't happened based on the general public betting

Big name players dropping a huge bet is free advertising for any casino/book, they'll gladly book Mattress Mac's action. But some random bettor can't get $2mil down (nowhere close to that number). I didn't think the limits on MLB props/futures were high enough to attract sharps. idk maybe I'm wrong.

Mac reportedly had $41 million on the Astros last season. He was also pretty vocal about not being allowed to bet more and basically running out of places to bet. And he's been active in lobbying for higher limits. So they apparently aren't just willing to book all his action.

Just looked at Draftkings. $1,000,000 limit on any any game-related MLB bet. Player specific bets are considered a novelty bet and capped at $20,000.

Holy #@#@#@#@! I'm so far out of the loop. I'm used to the days of offshore, limits were much smaller, and if you screwed around and crushed some niche market you could get your limits cut to $5.

Vegas isn't generating $30 million + a month in revenue from sports betting by having low limits lol.

It absolutely is, you must be unaware of all the guys who beat Vegas lines and are now banned from their casinos.

How many people do you think have been banned from betting sports?

Yeah, I got the joke, mine was a joke as well.

My point is sharps exist. Vegas doesn't go around banning everyone who is successful.

That's true. They realize the longer they keep them gambling, their odds will eventually regress to the mean. The house always wins in the long run.
