You can yell all you want about Trout’s accolades, there’s zero doubt in my mind he’s the best player that played between 1970 and 2020. That doesn’t mean his BC Auto should be worth 4k and not 2500. Adding a 7 WAR season on a forgotten, last place team where much of the conventional baseball narrative is against him is going to result in another substanstial drop in prices. If you think otherwise you’re just blind to the realities of the current market for the most elite players

NO, Bonds, Pujols, Griffey Jr and Cabrera not only have done more in the regular season, but they have at least more than 1 base hit in the Post Season. Trout is the Modern era Dale Murphy.

What will his top 3 moments in his career be ? I can rip off at least a half dozen for the 4 players I have listed. Trout has his lone Playoff hit and maybe him being caught stealing after he walked. No 500 HR, No 2500 Hits, No 1500 RBI, he will be fortunate to be a .295 BA when he retires.

He seems like a great guy but he is a sneeze away from the IR. WAR is forever tweaking it’s faults. At some point, if the Bell Cow that had the sweetest milk but isn’t available when the bucket needs to be filled, how valuable is that cow ? Trout has left the bucket empty far to often to be in the same class as the fore mentioned players.

Pujols' first half of his career dwarfed Trouts 1st half. 3,000+ hits and 700+ hrs. If you are using only WAR then I don't know what else to say. Pujols' numbers will forever be talked about. Don't know where Trouts numbers will be but he's replicating Pujols' 2nd half career now. Same number of MVP's and 2nd place finishes. Not even a debate who had the better 1st half.
Don't forget his WAR is high because of his position played compared to Pujols.
