I'm going Friday. I really hope they lose one and clinch the division Friday. That would be so cool to be at.

Was at the game tonight and had no idea he passed until they had a moment of silence for him at the start of the game.

One of the greats. RIP Brooks.

One of the saddest days in Baltimore history... And the O's won.

Talk about a crazy stat and coincidence, maybe! We won 1-0 tonight...Brooks Robinson had the most RBIs in 1-0 wins in MLB history. #ripbrooks5

It def was great they won for Brooks for sure. Jim Palmer made some great tributes to Brooks tonight and I’m sure he would have loved the 1-0 win.

Magic Number = ONE

Another great win! Grayson pitched a solid game, Adley came up big, and Tyler Wells looked sharp in the 9th.

Grayson has now lowered his season ERA after EVERY SINGLE START he's made since returning to the majors, running the streak to 13 straight "ERA lowering starts" to close out his regular season. Can't imagine streaks that long happen very often. Great to see him in this form for the postseason.

Agreed. Good signs from Grayson, DL Hall, and Wells hitting their stride at a good time. Despite their record, have a hunch the Os might be treated like a bit of an underdog against Braves or Dodgers. This season should give them some confidence.

Look at team odds to win WS ... they'll definitely be treated like a big underdog should they get there against either of those teams (ATL maybe around +250 and LAD maybe around +175). And I'm glad... they can play it like there's nothing to lose. Let's hope! FWIW, potential DS matchup against TB is what scares me most about their potential run to a WS title.

O’s signed deal with State of Md to stay at Camden Yards for at least the next 30 years.

Will be some exciting September baseball!

An extraordinary number of come-from-behind wins combined with never getting swept in a series. Hope they keep the momentum. Great to see Camden Yards rocking out!

I’m heading to the game later today. Should be beautiful weather!

It will be interesting to see what time they settle on for this Saturday’s ALDS game 1 in Baltimore. Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks concert is at Ravens stadium at 8 so I think they might need to have Os play during day unless cable TV dictates timing of game. Could be a mess getting in and out.

If Os play earlier in the day it will also be interesting if either Billy Joel or Stevie Nicks ends up singing the National anthem since they are in town at same time. Obviously could not happen if Os play at night.

Enjoy the game. The schedule for ALCS game 1 is interesting- event planners doubted the Os!

In any case, Os have home field advantage against everyone but the Braves.

What’s your take on playoff starting rotation?

I’d go…

1) Bradish
2) Rodriguez
3) Means

And

4) Gibson (if needed)

I really think our playoff success relies on the first three working deep into games. Our bullpen is pretty spotty. The 5 day rest *may* rejuvenate them but I think we need to lean on starters throwing a strong 7 each time out if we hope to advance deeply into the playoffs.

I lean towards Dean Kremer as the #4. He's stepped up in a lot of big games, and he's less prone to getting completely blown up like Gibson has a couple times this season. Gibson facing the Rangers (or Astros later if both teams advance) scares me.

The O's bullpen is in decent shape despite losing Bautista. DL Hall emerging as a reliable option and Tyler Wells being capable of closing is huge. Both of those guys weren't on the roster when Bautista went down.

The O's have 3 good lefties out of the pen. Not many teams have that.

Id expect that Bradish gets u 6 innings and 3 runs or less, Grayson 5+ and similar although I won’t be surprised if shuts some one down too. I suspect Hall and Wells may hold the key to their postseason chances if the bats play as usual.

I’m totally psyched for tomorrow’s game 1 of the ALDS! I will be taking one of my nephews.

Since Billy Joel/Stevie Nicks concert is later that night… what are the odds that one of them sings the national anthem? That would be epic!

EDIT: my friend tells me Joan Jett is singing it… still cool!

Throwback to 9/6/95 with Jett on the anthem. Killer move by the O’s.
