Completely agree

This absolutely trumps the Miami offer

Herro is good… but in this context… he's just a name

Very blowout

The Bucks no longer control any of their future first-round picks within the seven-year window teams have access to them, having now traded a third unprotected pick to go along with swap rights in the other four years. If Giannis walks out the door in free agency, Milwaukee will be staring at a rebuild without the protective netting of the lottery.
If Giannis wants to leave they will get a nice return for him and also trade Dame it will help restock the picks they are giving up for the next 7 years.

How are you getting a return for him? Read what I wrote

YOu think Bucks will let him hit FA? They will trade him next summer if he is not going to sign.

Ayton > Nurk.

Yeah sure, Ayton falls short of 1st overall pick expectations, but Nurk is a career 13ppg dude that sees street clothes more often than not. Also, he's nearly 30.

Just lol@thinking Portland cares about the mass overpay on Ayton. Who else on that roster is commanding big money? They're doing what they have to do with ultra realistic short to medium term expectations. They're not looking to compete for a ship. They're thinking a 5-10 year outlook, (presumably) stockpiling high pedigree draft picks along the way, while rolling out an ultra young roster that at least -on the surface- offers fans some curiosity and excitement with their athleticism.

It wasn't too long ago that Memphis was in a similar position.

Bux gained a lot in Dame as a down-the-stretch closer, but lost arguably 2 of it's top defenders/enforcers outside of Yannis. Also, Dame's shown to not be as robust as of late, so curious how his body will be holding up going forward.

Suns - hold this L.

P-town nguyens this round.

curious if Bucks would actually want Hield, who has announced intention to be free agented.

prolly over the cap.

Bucks have one open roster spot but Holiday and Allen pretty much equaled what Dame is making. I can see the Bucks keep that roster spot open until maybe midway thru the season and can sign a vet buyout player for the pro-rated min.

The 'size' part doesn't really make sense to me, since you also called out the defense and bench scoring.

Does losing 1 inch and 10 lbs going from Jrue to Dame really set back the offense? Certainly Allen's 6'4" size is easy to replace on the bench. Heck, they already added Malik Beasley in the offseason, so there you go.

unbreakable d... hm... if the Bucks are really creative they get Nesmith mid-season, who will be grueling on the Pacers secondary and wanting something bigger. Given his old friend Middleton, he prolly takes $10 million.

Yes, but all the math computes. As a defender, crash has earned Giannis' utmost respek (scowl level 10)

I read tons of dumb crap on here. Saying a pretty good player with 2 years left on his contract, bench players, 1 1st round pick in 6 years, and pick swaps in more years is a lot to give up for Damian F'n Lillard has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Bucks gave arguably less than half of what the Timberwolves gave up for Rudy Gobert last year. More likely than not, the best thing the Blazers received back the Bucks didn't give up!

Yes, and I doubt he plays a minute in Portland.

Exactly what the Blazers are planning on.

Portland should get a nice haul for Jrue.

LOL you act like the Bucks gave up nothing. They gave up a first and 2 swaps when good chance those could be very high picks. But go ahead live in the land of make believe they gave up little to get him. Also anyone with common sense knows the Gobert trade was a stupid trade that was never going to get another team to overpay like that again.

My take:

Milwaukee gets better on offense, but worse on defense. If everyone is healthy, they're still the team to beat in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Phoenix is worse off for me after this trade because Nurkic < Ayton and the depth guys they acquired won't see much floor time come the playoffs when rotations get tightened.

Here's hoping for a Milwaukee-Golden State Finals....CPIII vs Dame for their 1st ring....

so if Dame helps lift the Bucks to a ring, does that mean Giannis is the best player in the game again?

low-IQ answers only please

Shout out to Mil for today's line movement.

Just laid 5 benjis down on the undesirable stepchild of the yeast to make it 3 crowns in 5 years.

Don't overthink this.

For Damian Lillard, the Bucks gave up essentially nothing. When ever has a top 75 player all time, still in his prime, zero baggage, great person and teammate, with 4 years left on his contract been traded for less? Im not saying Dame is better than Durant, but the Suns gave up what 3 times what the Bucks gave up for Lillard? 2 better young players, 4 1sts, 2 seconds, 1st pick swap. Didn't basically everyone praise how great that trade was for the Suns? Anyone not praising this trade for the Bucks as it stands right now is an absolute moron.

If he drops another 50 piece in the close out game of the NBA Finals.
