Europe with early sweep.

4-0 in the morning matches.

Might not have been a good idea to sit 3 of your best golfers in the morning matches.

Brooks Koepka (6-5-1), Justin Thomas (6-2-1) and Jordan Spieth (8-7-3) all sat out this morning. Guessing they won't sit tomorrow... gonna need them. Hopefully they come through.

McIlroy and Fitzpatrick are 5 UP through 6 in afternoon match...

USA will be lucky to finish the day 6-2... it might be 7-1

14.5 points needed to win the Cup

Europe up 7.5 to 1.5 after Hovland and Aberg defeated Koepka and Scheffler 9&7. They didn't even need to play the final 7 holes...

Europe is currently leading the other 3 morning matches.

It wouldn't surprise me if Europe is leading 10-2 after these morning matches. 14.5 will win the Cup for Europe.

It's not looking all that promising for the Americans.

Just setting up the dramatic and romantic comeback as Tiger comes out of his cave and leads the USA to victory!!!! USA USA USA!!!! Then Jim Nance will cry and exclaim that Jesus loves the USA the most and has bequeathed upon that blessed land all that the Golf Gods can muster from here unto ETERNITY!!!!!!

USA finally had a solid afternoon. Won 3 of the matches.

Europe leads 10.5 to 5.5

Europe only needs to win 4 singles matches tomorrow to win the Ryder Cup. Can USA win 9 of the 12 matches to retain the Cup?

Well.... Europe up 14-7. Need to sweep the final 7 matches to tie it at 14-14 and USA will retain the Ryder Cup.

Do you believe in miracles?

Homa with a clutch putt on 18 to beat Fitzpatrick.

14-9 now

This might come down to the final match. Europe just won 2 holes to cut the USA lead in 2 other matches.

Now the pressure grows... every shot

Just as I post... USA wins 3 holes to bring other matches even closer. The last 2 were 2 UP Europe... now just 1 UP

I'm sure he would make it anyway...but I think Fleetwood would have to attempt that 2 and a half footer to win the Ryder Cup. You never know....

That surprised me too. Fight until the bitter end in Ryder Cup. Good effort for the Americans today but the day 1 hole was way too big to dig out of.

Just my simple opinion....

Speith was elite when he made 2 miles worth of putts over a couple year stretch. He's not that same player and doesnt make those same putts (Rory does'nt either----but he makes up for it with his length). Speith is fragile.

Thomas. Does it matter how poorly he plays during the year? Apparently he is guaranteed a spot no matter what?

Fowler. You rinse one off the T when you have honors (take all the pressure of fleetwood), give him 2 footer for the cup, then on next hole leave a birdie putt 2 feet short, then walk of the green with your tail between your legs. Didnt play either session yesterday. Hmmmm???. Likable guy? absolutely. How good is he when the heat is really on??

Clark. Looked like he was walking through a graveyard at midnight.

Koepka. Kinda hard to like sometimes. But he can play. Id take him homa, scheffler and cantaly every time.

At end of the day, Cup means more to Europe then USA. Hate to say it but is true.

5 weeks off before you play (for most the team), not a great plan either.

100% means more to Europe. Feel like it’s been like that since the tiger and Phil generation came up. Phil loves Ryder I get but it’s been “different” since those guys were leading the charge.

Couple thoughts:

Spieth/Fowler just killed USA, if Zach didn't trust Rickie going in why is he on the team? If you have to stick with PGA guys Keegan should have been the choice.

PGA guys need to make their peace with LIV and move on. It's nonsense for Zach to say "well, we didn't see a lot of DJ so can't consider him for Ryder Cup." Bryson shot 61-58 to win a LIV tournament at Greenbrier. Reed made the cut in all four majors this year. There were some 'serious' people who thought Brooks shouldn't have been on the team. Sorry, but some of the best American golfers play LIV, and there's no moral high ground left for the PGA on this.

US also needs to tone it down a bit. Why make comments about Rahm and Rory when you're down. Just don't understand that.
