Could someone help me understand the stated odds from the checklist?

1:2 h, 1:2 e, 1:2.25 r, 1:2.25 b, 1:2.25 tin, 1:2 hanger, 1:50 dollar

h = hobby
e = ePack?
r = retail
b = blaster
tin = tin
hanger = hanger
dollar = ?

Where do fat packs figure into this? Are they somehow calculated into the retail pack odds?

that YG list is awful. Really surprised they didnt take a swing of some kind given the new box configurations, finally having 1/1s, etc

Can't complain if you're a goalie collector with Askarov/Wolf/Levi all on the CL for S1.

Out of curiosity when did UD start having to push back rookies? I haven’t collected hockey really since Matthews rookie year but I remember as far back as 05-06 you almost always had the top pick in series 1 and another big name saved for series 2. Why the change?

man...lock in your S2 preorders now.

With the list of potential rookies available, and the series 1 checklist basically being dog patch....The cost of S2 product is gonna go from absurd to insane on spec.

my LCS said they arent allowed Series 2 unless they order X amount of series 1. Maybe a card shop owner can chime in on this?

UD has been way behind. The only way to get caught up on flagship was to print S1 over the summer so it’ll be out by next week, and NHLPA rules say you can’t make a card of a player until he skates in a regular season game so they weren’t allowed to print any cards of him ahead of time. All the rookies in S1 are holdovers from late last season that they’re allowed to make cards of. The new crop will have to wait. Maybe by next year they’ll be mostly caught up on everything and can go back to the old way of top guys being in S1.

Lafreniere got a one-time exception to this rule since he was drafted during peak Covid and there was no rookie showcase event or anything else that year so they were allowed to jump the gun that one time. Not going to happen again even for Bedard.

If you have an Upper Deck direct account then no, this is false. Distributors pull all sorts of shenanigans, so this may be true depending on what distributor you use.

YG list is pretty good actually, im happy to see Marco Kasper make it in too to add even more big names to the mix.

Well I think I made the right choice to buy a case when I did. Purchase it for 2,349.95. I just checked today on the same site I purchased it, and now it is 3,549.95.

Pretty disappointed by the Bedard Draft Card. Looks like an Extended 1st Round Draft Pick card but before his actual Young Gun? only going to add confusion to what is his "rookie" card. Does a disservice to the actual young guns as well.

This easter egg card will have zero impact to the secondary market pricing on his UDS2 yg. It's just a cool rookie year issued card.

100%.....I'm not one to stick up for Upper Deck, but with an 8 day window from his debut to release day (less when you consider some dealers/distributors had the product in-hand last Friday), they were clearly limited with options to include him. Good on them for figuring out a way to do so.
