Also. What’s the difference between Purdy and tua ?
Purdy seems calm and in control. He had a freak injury against the Eagles in the NFC Championship.
I saw Purdy come in versus Miami. I knew the Fins would win that game. Instead I got greeted by a player that baffled me on how he wasn't the starter already.
Anyone who thinks that having the mental capacity to run a Shanahan offense like this isn't at an insane level of football IQ, doesn't understand football.
Anyone who thinks that having the physical tools to be able to make the throws needed that Purdy makes is common, doesn't understand football.
To have both in one player? If Purdy stays healthy and Shanahan doesnt overthink himself, its going to be a long, successful career.
I never saw an obviously GREAT qb so blatantly hated since Tom Brady.
I would not be surprised if a 15-20 year career healthy Purdy gets 3 rings, based on this small sample of perfection when healthy.

Is it safe to call Purdy a generational quarterback? Definitely a fun kid to watch as well as am amazing story thus far.

You didn’t “make” a call, it wasn’t legendary and no one doubted it.

You came here three weeks ago, a year after everyone else, asking for advice on football cards because you didn’t know football.

I've picked up a few Purdy's along the way a nice Encased RPA, a few of the Contenders Optic Reds and then this little guy...

2022 Chronicles Photogenic Holo/Rainbow Foil Purdy Rookie.

We all know Chronicles is def lower tier but this holo/rainbow foil is such a hard one to find. I absolutely love the photo!

Absolutely too early to classify one as such. You can argue he has the characteristics & makeup of one, but larger results need to be realized (aka achieved) first. He needs those monumental moments, games, & season/s to qualify as such. Show me over coming adversity. Demonstrate 4th quarter greatness. His injury last year derailed what could’ve been the beginning of such an anointment, but he’s starting over with a head start this year.

Truthfully I put him in the same bucket as Herbert when he shined unexpectedly. Same bucket as Josh Allen his second season after he worked his ass off after his rookie year to pass everyone’s expectations. They haven’t been deemed ‘generational talent’ status. Joe Burrow had an exceptional last year, but look where he is this year. He’s struggling, the team is struggling, but if they can right the ship and go deep in the playoffs that’s beating adversity.

In the end, time is needed.

Going to be very interesting how they manage the cap when Purdy's rookie contract is up. Its going to be hard to field the winning team they have if you're paying a QB $30M+ instead of <$1M ($30M sounds like a ton, but it'd be 17th in QB AAV).

It's amazing when a basically a no name QB gets really good and most people always say Oh it's the system he is in Oh he doesn't have to do much because there defense is great. People swallow a little man pride and admit Purdy is the real deal. Believe me I had my doubts but he is really good. Some keep say great things about Clown QBs like Dak. Dak could not read a defense they were only playing five players. Yes he is that bad.

Wrong on so many levels

Not everyone doubted you..not only that..you act like nobody was picking up Purdy cards before your big proclamation or after it. People didnt buy Purdy cards because you said so..they bought because they believed in his talent too..they just aren't as obnoxious and egotistical as you are and don't need to tell a group of strangers how smart they are again and again and again.

He'll continue to ignore this though. One of the main reason Purdy has "haters" is because of the obnoxiousness of one poster

Relax. When I made my call that Purdy was the best buy in the NFL around mid September and said it would be the next Legendary Call, lots of people jumped on me saying he wasn't good enough, his cards are overpriced, just a game manager, etc etc. The vast majority thought he was too expensive when I made my call. You could see that sentiment all over this board, not just in this thread

That probably says something about those people if they hate an NFL QB because they don't like a single guy on a card message board. Those guys must be fuming mad now with how well Purdy and his cards are doing

That’s really nice! If I see one I might have to pick one up if the price is right. I have an Unparalleled /5 coming in and looking forward to see how these look in hand.

Brock Richard Purdy. Why do you keep getting his middle initial wrong?

You're weird. Anyone who was watching the Niners knew Purdy was special and the real deal by his third game, when they beat Seattle at home. Not really the most clairvoyant collector I've ever met.
I'd say people hate on Purdy, not because of you, but because they don't understand football and don't appreciate greatness. Its like the people who hate Lebron James or Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. They rather root on their downfall to make them feel better, because its always easier to predict someone to fail because so few succeed. People also think quarterbacks are suppose to be playmakers, like Willie Beamen, when, in fact, they are not. The greatest quarterbacks are game managers, who make the right call every time before the snap. To attack the defense and wear down the defense while their defense rests. If you get caught in a shoot out, you leave a lot of things to chance. Purdy sets his team up so they don't have to get 40+ every game because the defense is strong and rested to shut down the opponent.

Lol that was the vast minority opinion. Many didn't even think he'd start the season as the main QB

It's like the guy saying buying Mahomes halfway into first year wasn't clairvoyant because "he was already good". Ignoring how much he goes up since

I don't understand the obsession with me. Forget me, show off those Purdy cards!
