Should be on the same level as the 52 Mantle. The only PSA 9 to sell went for 300k. I don’t think the 9.5s have been up for sale in a longs time. I’ve always heard that none of the BGS 9.5s would cross to a PSA 10. All of the misconceptions about Star are finally clearing up as well now that information is more readily available for those that take the time to read. I think the future is bright for the JordAn 101.
if 5x7 cards were a big thing in the hobby, the 84-85 Court Kings would be the most attractive and sought after first-year Jordan card

The correction is not over.

Way too many cards selling for $1k plus. Is the average collector gonna have 10 PC cards worth $1k + or more? I really doubt it.

Autos are particularly overpriced and there is more to come out.

There is also still value around for certain players or sets. Which goes back to the old "buy what you like" mantra.

I am intrigued by fanatics and what they'll do.

It seems people at the top want to "grow" the Hobby rather than nurture what's already here. To me, it seems we'll see more pumping of products.

I just hope Fanatics bring us a guaranteed number 1 product. What was Paninis? Eminence, Flawless, Immaculate, NT, Noir? Something else?

Prizm is definitely ruined with all those parallels.

Kiss principle needs to come back.

Seems like bounties and corporate gimicks are number one and two on fanatics' list.

The Fanatics playbook is already out there for everyone to see.

Low cost chrome products with dozens of parallels, produced at volumes the hobby has never seen before. Sprinkle in a chase or a bounty and a buyback program, and it will sell. Most hobby participants simply can’t help themselves but to buy new products. Even though there is absolutely no chance this stuff holds its value.

In 20 years, who will want to own the LeBron 2026 Topps Chrome Magenta/Purple Raywave refractor /499? What’s the true value of that card when there are literally millions of other Prizms and refractors that have been produced, with more being added every year?

I’d like to throw in overwhelming people with email marketing blasts to this list…

The Lebron James 2003 Topps Chrome Refractors is a great way to go. Most say it is his true RC and the low pop is simply an added bonus. So the Refractors, black refractor and and Xfractors will surely get major bumps.

Lakers are contending this year
Better chemistry now
Lebron has a chance to win 1 or maybe 2
Then Lebron's eventual incoming retirement

2003 Topps Chrome Refractors are the way to go. It is also being snatched up and drying up on ebay too

Bingo. Lebrons iconic rookies are the way to go. Anything extra LBJ does at this point is gravy.

This coming from a Jordan guy, as much as it pains me to say it.

To speak about Steph, I agree to a lesser degree, my problem with him is there isn’t that one iconic card. Topps chrome and parallels I guess but they don’t have the nba logos. Good ole Topps to panini takeover might keep his cards from jumping as much as LBJ IMO.

What happens when Lebron retires and all the spec money betting on his next championship or milestone or MVP or whatever just disappear because there is no outcome to bet on anymore? Answer: prices crater another 50%.

The thing none of you guys account for is all the gambling money in the hobby, using cards to basically play another version of fantasy basketball. What happens when Lebron retires and there is nothing to bet on anymore? All that money leaves and I promise you, it will be a bloodbath. No different than what has happened to Brady. None of these older goats are worth buying for another 5-7 years.

I get what you're saying...But with the logos, do you mean to say in an NBA uniform? Because the Topps/Topps Chrome Currys do have NBA logos as a licensed product.

You do realize basketball has a global following and LeBron is iconic all over the world, not just in the USA right?

Basketball cards have the largest following in the world.

Nobody in China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, or the phillipines cares about Brady.

Licensed yes, but none of the rookies are in nba jerseys in the photos

But Bron is the poster boy of the “ugly American”. Those countries only recognize him as a muppet. Or looney toon.

Did you see what Rodman prices did 15-20 years ago?

Lebron will be fine.

Full disclosure I own 0 high end Lebron cards at the moment. Never been a fan. That being said, his rookies are up there if not the absolute best investment over next 5-10 years IMO.

All I can say is good luck, and I hope people don’t invest their life savings into Bron rookies.

Agree with you there. If the card market tanks everything will. I just think he’s will be the safest buy in cards.

If people are investing their life savings into cards they have bigger issues to worry about than cards.
