It's not everything of his that is going up. For the most part it seems to be the new stuff that goes high in an insane flurry. I'm getting some awesome and reasonable deals on things all the time. Again, the stuff from 2 nights ago was a feeding frenzy. Did you see how many watchers were on those? There were 5-10x the amount of watchers that there normally are on an Alstott card. Many of those folks were there because of the card not the player, though.

See id rather buy the low grades cause they go for cheaper (usually). I don’t care too much about grade, I just like having the card.

His stuff is too much nowadays. I'm satisfied with my pick-ups. I am super picky, and passing on most newly listed (modern) Alstott cards.

Also I have noticed that many sellers (not just Alstott) are either unscrupulous or uneducated about what they sell. Too many Player Used/Worn cards advertised as GU and most priced at premium prices.

Used to be that a nice GU auto could be found for $20-$50 bucks depending on the set. Now those cards are in the $100-$500 range

Was fortunate enough to locate a 98 Pacific silver. A month ago picked up a bronze Will Shields. Surprised me that 90’s cards can still be had. It took me searching through boxes that were not individually priced but besides the time, it’s worth the effort to search.

I hate to tell you this but the Silver is the base card. The only parallels for '98 Pacific were Platinum Blue and Red. But you are 100% correct...90's cards are still out there to be had.

My friend, you may want to re-check the 98 Pacific Paramount parallel sets - Red, Platinum Blue, Copper and Silver. It’s been 25 years therefore hopefully you were able to pluck that parallel but just have it confused as a base card ? I believe each pack had one silver card. The base cards have a pewter appearance therefore the Silver parallels can be difficult to distinguish with the Paramount set.

LoL, you didn't say anything about Pacific Paramount, you said "98 Pacific silver". That is literally a set of it's own...a set of which the silver card is the base card. A set of which Platinum Blue and Red are the only parallels. If you had stated Pacific Paramount, we would not be having this conversation.

The 98 Pacific Paramount has a pewter looking base set. There are 4 parallel sets to go along with the base set. A base set doesn’t have pull odds as : Copper, Platinum Blue, Red and Silver have. Pacific identified these parallel pulls as related sets. 98 Pacific Paramount hobby Copper 1 card per pack, 1-73 packs for Platinum Blue. Retail Pacific Paramount Silver 1 per pack and I’ll have to research the other odds. I use to buy boxes of the hobby. I hope this info helps.

Happy New Year!

I might be interested in trading this Authenticated Game-Used/Worn Logo Patch Auto towards one of the Alstotts in your collection.

(it might even be from the jersey he's wearing on the front of this card!)

lmk!
