The endless stream of relievers in the middle-to-late innings gets tiring, but I was able to watch Seager's and Garcia's home runs live.

Well victor wembanyama is debuting and he is the biggest thing in the world for sports right now. So people are tuning in. I personally do not give a damn but a ton of international and national people do

Well it's debut week lol whatever you wanna call it. People are tuning into watching him.

Yeah probably scherzer, these world Series games won't get huge viewership but I think have the best chance for some great baseball

I am a Rangers fan and before the playoffs even started I knew of Dbacks Carroll, Gallen, Pham, Longoria, Walker, Gurriel, Thomas, Lawlar, Marte, Perdomo, Moreno, and as for the Rangers, they had like half the starters in this years All-Star Game. I'm pretty sure most people who have a clue about baseball have heard of Seager(top 3-4 player in all of baseball), Semien, DeGrom, Chapman, Scherzer, Eovaldi, Jung and of course now, Adolis Garcia and Evan Carter.

Thank you for taking it literally. Casual sports fans have no idea. Many casual baseball fans have no idea. People who are passionate fans of their home teams and couldn't care less about other teams have no idea. Is there one player in any sort of national ad campaign? Didn't think so. I see ads with three people, Jeter, Griffey, and Ohtani.

Of course a "casual sports fan" isn't going to know who people are? But people aren't just casually tuning into random baseball games. And a casual isn't watching a random game just because they've heard one name, in any sport. The people tuning in to the playoffs are fans of baseball and fans of the teams playing. It's not like the Super Bowl where it's one game and the whole thing is a giant production geared towards "casuals." Baseball, hockey, and basketball are all the same.

You can whine all you want about baseball players being marketed poorly, the game simply isn't set up to push individual players. Your stars get one at bat every 2-3 innings and it's possible you never hear their name in between there. NFL stars are constantly in the action, NBA stars are constantly in the action.

Baseball fans know plenty of players playing in this World Series. And don't act like Philly would have more well known names. Bryce Harper is not in that Griffey, Jeter level.

Phillies game 7 did about 2m more than Rangers game 7 and they werent tuning in to see Corbin. No harper isn't as big as those 3, but he is a bigger name than anyone left.
