I would take that money and run, and never think twice about it. What did you originally pay for the deck of cards? A few bucks?

I would not have sellers remorse in the least even if it sold for double.

This is still quite possibly, the best thread ever. $2k is still a nice piece of change.

Yeah, I have contacted Beckett and Tracy Hackler (Panini) in search of more information about this card. It would be a small dream come true to land a spot in the Beckett for this find. I dont know if I will get $2k for this card, but I know I will at least make the money back I paid for it

I like to bump this up every three or four months for our new members, as I truly believe it shows some of the true "collecting" finds of the hobby -- and what's possible between collectors when they communicate.

Any further updates from anyone on here would be appreciated as well! For myself, I settled-up on the contract with the buyer. He agreed that if this newly-surfaced card was invalidated, he'd return the money.

Thanks all for your kind works!

Without the contract it would not have sold for $6500. The thinking was to allow enough time for both the buyer and seller time for another to surface.

Exactly. With something that's been so incredibly hard to get accurate information on, you want a satisfied collector. It's not only good business, but it's good for the hobby!

No, I used BGS Grading.

I am very glad some people have found some other rare autos!

Personally, , based in the condition, I would to have the Maddux!

I recently sold some high end Ripken cards to a Ripken collector who lives in Pasedena and he had never seen one or knew anything about them. He tried to research about them and found nothing.

There were links to this thread from FCB as I was checking to see if I could find out any information on it for him.

As for the 12 year bump.. I'm glad there was a thread that had some info here as well as FCB.
