Bah, just got word earlier this week that our neighborhood's cluster boxes have been compromised. Pretty sure the thieves got at least one or two of my outgoing items.

Had to go to the post office to drop off my outgoing ESE's today and to pick up my normal mail since they're not delivering until the locks get changed (a lot of good that will do if the thief is using a bump key).

I thought about asking the postal worker his thoughts on me hiding by the cluster box with an aluminum bat to try and effect a speedier resolution, but I kept that one to myself.

First time in a long time I have several mailed same day only showing accepted after about a week. Digging deeper have feedback on 3 of them so just looks like they are arriving. Only one buyer has complained. He is the only reason I saw this. Just refunded him and not gonna worry with the others unless someone says something

They have opened it up to more categories. Still need to add vintage photos. but the stickers is a great change.

I know a few people who sell stickers so they should be happy.

I have about 500 vintage vending macine stickers they can go for several dollars each. I have several hundred old photos of various subjects as well

That is an interesting thing to offer. They say "designed specifically to meet eBay Standard Envelope requirements", I wouldn't have guessed sending 3 stacks of 8 cards per stack in an envelope with a cardboard insert would meet those requirements, seems optimistic.

But yeah, the price point just makes it a non-starter for me. 41 cents per envelope. I can get brand new top loaders for 7 or 8 cents each, self-seal #10 envelopes for 4 cents each, and a penny for paper/tape per envelope. And if I'm sending more than a couple cards at a time it's almost always gonna be close to the $20 mark if not more, so I'd be using a bubble mailer anyway. I guess it could make sense for people that are selling, e.g. lots of 10 cheap cards for $15, they can stay in ESE and just use these single envelopes.

Mny eople who followed Ebays guide to the letter experienced and still do experience lots of issues with the ESE. So while I know some selles have done it like that adding the cardboard like they suggest is likely going to cause more issues

Agreed, I like them, but the price point sucks. Debating using my $25 store subscription credit to try them out, but I can probably use that $25 wiser.

8x6x4 boxes are the best choice on there

If that is a couple of cards in separate listings the $20 mark increases to $50 for the PIP insurance coverage. I think Shreve auto upgrades to bubble at $10....I auto upgrade at $20 no matter how many individual cards are purchased.....everybody has a system that works best for them.

It does increase to 50. Yeah everyone needs to set their own limits though. As you noted I generally go to 10 but have let a few go for a bit more recently.

100 of these for $40 (and the eBay logo all over it begging for them to be stolen) or 500 #9s for $25.

I know what I'm buying.

I got one of the cheapo thermal printers off Amazon for $80 and it worked fine right out of the box. Just had to set eBay to use 4x6 when it makes the shipping labels. I use it to print all my labels for ESE and bubble mailers / packages. Didn't have to change any other settings, it's been working great.

So you just print the ese still at 4x6 like a regular label and it fits the envelope? Have to fold it over onto the backside at all?

I fold about 1/2" under the bottom. I actually like that because I feel like I'm reinforcing that part of the flimsy envelope a little bit.

Yep it fits perfect on a #10 envelope, no folding needed. Here's one from today:

I've been using these labels: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L9XVDDF/
And this printer:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C3V66NNK/
But there's a bunch of them that are all basically identical.

I would be using #6 so it looks like maybe just a little would have to be folded

New one for me... had a claim filed about 12 days after it had gone Destination Processing... usually the tracking dies at Origin Processing. Wouldn't shock me, of course, if it was actually delivered and buyer is double dipping, or may still yet be delivered.
