I went in Wal-Mart for the first time in a long time Friday, and there were blasters of every product sitting. Also had some discount stuff, but I passed on it all. I miss the days of finding 18 Update blasters and fat packs in the discount section.

That was basically a once in a lifetime product. Not sure if we will ever see something like that gain.

No legal job is anything to be ashamed of. I would have no problem telling my family I ran a successful business.

Yeah, it's like telling your family you run the casino floor at the MGM grand vs dumping your entire weeks paycheck into a slot machine and getting nothing.

that's a good point. probably best to tell that story after another relative discloses that they enjoy watching their partner have intercourse with someone else while they watch

Yeah, telling family that people enjoy paying other grown men to open packs for them on a video stream always elicits a creeped out and puzzled reaction.

Agree, societal debauchery is at an all time high. Nudies, pay for play, drugs, pick your poison and enjoy the sensational ride and don't listen to civilized granny. She's 8 months away from the grave anyway

I think they mean they sold to someone who makes "Mystery Packs." So they sold them $14K in slabs so they could charge $50K selling them to other people.

It is what is keeping ultra-modern sealed products at such high prices. Couple that with increasing legalized sports betting in the US and you can see what people want in this "hobby."

This is a great time to be a collector if you stay away from sealed product and the hype of grading. If you enjoy those two things, keep at it.

However, if you are on a limited budget, there are some awesome cards you can get right now in all eras for great deals.

You can not use the internet or watch television today without being bombarded with sports betting app advertisements.

You go on twitter and it is everywhere. Many of the people I follow interact with sports card breakers non-stop

You sit down 30 minutes before a baseball game and there are live ads on the jumbotron talking about the stadiums partnership with whatever betting agency is local.

It is insane.

Imagine being one of these addicts!

They always put things like only gamble what you can afford to use or to gamble responsibility. It is like telling a heroin user to only take drugs occasionally and in low dosages.
