I dunno what the allure is to this set. I like AEW but Upper Deck is being weird with the card sets, another one without a guaranteed autograph per box and odd looking inserts. And the "middle of the card" autograph stickering really should be put out to pasture.

Sweet, we finally get on card auto’s! Oh wait, you mean it’s sticker auto’s again? Maybe we’ll get some great inserts? Oh wait it has inserts of ice cream bars and buses, hmmmmm. Maybe it will be $60 a box. No it will be much more. I think I’ll save my money for gas and groceries.

Well that is certainly a choice. Glad they put time into this instead of something dumb like Exquisite or SP Authentic.

Stuff reminds me of mid 90s over produced Upper Deck Collector's Choice.

The 50 cent a pack crap for the kiddos who couldn't afford regular Upper Deck...

I am just not a fan of the Allure set in any form or fashion, I don't know who the market s supposed to be for this stuff, so this is an underwhelming announcement, to say the least. On the flipside, I imagine the singles market will be pretty reasonable. But I can't see myself ripping any unless it gets to a bottom-of-the-bargain-bin price, which it won't.

Those inserts make me think they're either trying too hard, or not trying hard enough. I'm sure some will love them, but wow, are those not something I would collect.

This looks nice on the surface, as the first ever AEW chromium card set with hobby boxes pre-selling well under $100.

But early word on the street is that autos are one per case, and indications are that they printed an overwhelming, tremendous amount of this product for both hobby and retail, not to mention the inevitable ePack release.

I do like the look of the "Golden Treasures" 1/1 parallels, which have a superfractor finish. These cards should go for a premium.

If cardboard connection is correct with the odds, it won't be that bad - just the base auto is 1:60 packs and a case has 160 packs. That doesn't take into account all the other autograph options. Still not great odds and definitely not one per box which would be nice, but not as bad as one per case anyway.

My issue is more that I think a lot of the card designs/inserts are goofy looking.

Thanks for the correction, Joshi. I haven't actually looked at the odds myself, just remember the chatter from a FB group I'm in when they first dropped. Either the odds were updated or the people in that group are bad at math, hah. I still won't be able to get excited about AEW autos until we actually (if ever) get them on card.

Your issue is also mine; the vast majority of parallels and inserts in this set are butt ugly. The ones that look nice look really nice I think, but most do not.

Still, it will be nice to have AEW cards on a thick, premium stock for once. The price is attractive, and it shouldn't be too hard to recoup costs if selling singles within the first couple of weeks. I may be in for a box or two.

I know these aren't WWE prices but WWE product WITH autos are sitting, not sure how UD/AEW think they can survive on not even having one guaranteed in almost every release they've had. Upper Deck killed AEW worse then Punk issues lol

Easy pass.

The hockey and Marvel releases were overpriced for what you got.. Granted that seems to be the norm these days.

Will be interesting to see what the market is on this given they are really the only game in town with Panini and Fanatics being a mess. Metal didn't really blow people away and frankly this product is really only for the hard core wrestling collectors

Every UD AEW set has come out of the gate hot with some impressive sales and then cools off extremely quickly, indicating a small but fervent collector base; after they get theirs, there's just not a lot of interest. I would *guess* this will hold true for Allure, but it is such a goofy set with bizarre parallel structures, I could see it really confusing a lot of collectors also. I am not overly fluent in the hockey market, but my understanding is that the Allure hockey stuff skirts pretty close to worthless.

Metal Universe is already down to $110 a box at a BO competitor, anyone buying these at launch that wants to flip better flip fast as the values go down pretty quick. Upper Deck is producing far more of these cards in each set than there is a market for, you can still get 2021 AEW boxes for under $60 a box and collector's were actually excited about that one.

I'd love Upper Deck to have a clean, higher end set for AEW that is CURRENT with their roster but they seem to like releasing quirky sets like this and Spectrum instead.

If these boxes had guaranteed autos every time, I think a lot more would get ripped and it would help boxes hold prices. To this day, I haven't opened any AEW hobby boxes because of this.

It's so sad to see the fall of Upper Deck as a kid who grew up collecting in the 90s and would gaze in awe at UD, SP Authentic, SPx, and other cards in my LCS display case wishing I could afford these singles or opening some packs.

I might pick up few of these cards at the right price but I genuinely can't remember the last modern UD product that I busted (and I open all kinds of random stuff like Rittenhouse Star Trek, Panini WNBA, Topps MLS, unlicensed Panini baseball along with the major sports).

The Color Flow rainbow looks sweet and I might try to complete a couple. A bus insert could be cool but there's no way I'd pay a premium.

Not sure why "goofy inserts" is an issue now. Spectrum has insert cards shaped like chairs. Metal had insert cards shaped like half a moon or a shirt design.

I think the people that think Allure has goofy inserts didn't like those inserts either I don't know why Upper Deck is going in that direction, I haven't seen any demand for it in the wrestling card scene.

Just picked up two boxes from my LCS. Let's see what's in them. Wish me luck haha
