Found these in my grandpa's collection, all are the full foil versions, this is 20/30 of the set 👍👍
Seems that they don't show up very often due to rarity, super neat. Showing off and am curious if anyone collects these, I wonder how many complete sets are out there. |

Big shout to Gramps because that’s even more impressive considering the limited accessibility to rare singles at the time he must’ve put these together.
Also prepare for your inbox to be flooded. Sorry Gramps.

Its very cool. My guess is he bought one of the home shopping network sets.

Weren't these like 1:10,000 packs?
It's also very confusing when searching for these bc PSA doesn't distinguish them from the non-foil game dated moment base cards. Great find!

This was probably one of the most confusing cards in the 90s if you didn't know what you were looking for. Props to grandpa!

But Home Shopping Network sold complete sets of the basketball. In football, these are ghosts

How much were the complete sets? The MJ is quite expensive these days...

Otherwise, getting this far along into the set around the time of release with actual pack pulled copies would’ve been some miracle work.

Congrats. I have been chasing this set for almost 10 years. I've been buying these individually over those 10 years so most likely all pack pulled.
I'm currently at 28 of 30 and only need Anfernee Hardaway and Jordan to complete the set. Let me know if you are interested in selling the Anfernee. It would really help me out in my pursuit of completing this crazy set.

not that he's selling, but what's an estimated value for the 20 cards as a lot?

Nice find. I pulled a Drexler way back when and still have it today.

Pardon my ignorance, but how do we know these are the actual "Game Dated" parallels and not the base cards that just say "game dated"? Several in the pic look like just base cards to me.

I feel like they are Black Diamond-esque in the foiled surface…no one who has seen the parallel would confuse it with a base card

The more pressing question is how do we know if any given copy is pack pulled vs Home Shopping Network imposter. But obviously we most likely can’t know. There’s prob no differences. Wonder how many sets they were given.

Love the etched foil look.
The 1994 SP Behind the Glass set has it and so do 30 of the 1998 MJ Tribute/Reflections Set and you can get them for a fraction of Game Dated Moments.

I think Im seeing foil, but tbh it's kinda hard to tell foil from pics. Could a close up view of some be posted (either of the above, or if someone else has one), and even better in comparison to a regular game dated? A brief search online, and this was, since it came out, a confusing insert. I find it odd grading companies would even be mislabeling them. Where does the 1:1500 come from, does someone have a pic of the back of a pack and odds?

Thanks, yea I can see the foil in those pics. I think if I held it in hand it would be much more obvious. I would ask in turn where Beckett is getting the info on odds since Im naturally a skeptic, but I finally found a pic of the back of a pack of 1997-98 UD S1. Hard to find a listing for one of these packs
https://ebay.com/itm/385599183651 Does say 1:1,500 for game dated memorable moments

I'm learning a lot from all the comments, thanks for that!
It's tough to show off all the foils is one photo, here's a couple of them to show it off in more detail https://imgur.com/gallery/kXnPJrA And not sure if it helps, but originally when I found them they were all in individually priced toploaders. |
